Another source of high stat armor for a solo player are the bounties from Petra that reward legendary gear. All of them, except for the one that has you do an instanced mission, can be claimed while *inside Shattered Throne* and the game thinks the reward from that quest is a Shattered Throne drop. You may get weapons, but if it rolls an armor, as you're in Shattered Throne, it should be a high stat roll. You don't even have to go anywhere special for this -- just finish the bounties, load into ST, and claim the bounty as finished. One of the bounties is a daily, while two of them are weekly. I only do this on one character, but for a full week of doing this, you end up with 9 chances even on a single character. By far the easiest. Keep in mind, though, that if you get the "find Toland in the Ascendant Realm" bounty, that one is still bugged. It never registers that you've found him and it's been bugged for at least a year.
So I'm trying to see the umbral engrams in the prismatic recaster but only has a blank screen, I have lenses but they show a locked icon. How do I find/unlock them? Do I need to buy the season or something else?
I'll watch this, believe me, but from the first two seconds it seems like a, "By the way, you need (insert season pass/DLC) for this." Do you, or anyone, really, knowing any way to get higher stat armor without any of that stuff? Now, that being said, I'll go watch the video.
Laughs in solo clears of pit. Im waiting to masterwork a full set of armor for my warlock, i need 2 more pieces that are 90+ total. My gloves are a few short and my legs are just bad. My hunter is just busted already through these sources. Good video.
Also my buddy and i do prophecy duo every week for chances on death adders and armor, and then farm boss. We breach and clear, blinding gl with warmind mods. We are down to like 20 minutes for 2 hunters this season, and about 30 normally without breach and clear. No lfg needed, and its more fun as 2man cuz its harder.
I'm new to D2, this video was literally perfect. I wouldn't be surprised if new players who don't know these things might get discouraged and stop playing. Thanks a lot!
Its relative to what you want for example a 66 stat helmet with 3 mobility would be useless compared to a 56 stat helmet with 23 mobility if you wanted a mobility build
Just two problems in your video: Hunter with no 100 agi and titan with no 100 res.... I think you are playing both worng.... The rest, is amazing video. Dogde at 11 seconds is MUST have, not just to avoid damage, but recharge melee or even your weapons fast, this give you a huge bonus. Titan with 100 res gives your barricade more life but 14 seconds to wait, there is a mod to use that every time you use your class hability you recharge others habilities, and Res at PVE helps. I thinked like you, playing my titan with just near 50 res, but now, for pve never go down unde 80 after some tests.
I think it would be kind of important to talk about the upper bound of random stat rolls and how they're distributed: on any single piece, if you have high recovery, you WILL have low mobility and resilience; same goes for the bottom cluster, if you have high intellect, you WILL have low discipline and strength. This is why it's very hard to have 100 on more than 2 stats. Also, the most skewed distribution you can have is [2 - 2 - 30 - 2 - 30 - 2] (assuming this particular armor piece rolls maximum recovery and intellect). Not to say that you need to grind your life out to get that, but if you do get it, it's nice to know that's as good as it gets. Another note: builds are always more important than stats. if you want grenade energy on your shadebinder, you can put on verity's brow, demolitionist, whisper of shards and/or torment, bomber/innervation/impact induction, and I haven't even touched on combat mods. You don't NEED any of these stats, they're just nice to have (except super regen in comp/trials). I think it's also important to note that all of these have diminishing returns on the upper bounds.

I spam barricade to cooldown either grenades or melee (ashen wake and doomfangs respectively) & to generate void elemental wells on kills after dropping barricade. My grenades generate wells, and give back nade energy, and melee's give back nade energy too. I use the wells for ability regen and getting charged with light to do increased weapon damage.
keep in mind that a stat roll of 2 is the lowest you can obtain. So with full masterwork armor the lowest stats you can obtain is 18. My titan thundercrash build has 18 mobility and str it's insane. I do not place a high emphasis in recovery. Mine would usually about 4-6 tier. I think in PvE both Mobility and Resilience are much more important for survivabilty.
