  • ASF is a highly fatal infectious disease in domestic and wild pigs of all breeds and ages. Although the virus does not infect humans, it has significant implications for food security and farmer livelihoods. At least 60 percent of the global pig production is concentrated in East and Southeast Asia, with the majority of pigs kept in low biosecurity smallholder farms with minimal resilience to disease incursion.
This video provides practical steps on how to implement biosecurity to tackle ASF in pig farms, including cleaning and disinfecting pig pens. This video will help guide smallholder farmers to ramp up biosecurity measures to keep their pigs safe and healthy.
