These old interviews are absolute gold. How was this all even possible… how was it signed off by so many high profile people and none of them noticed? Or did they just not give a F about their reputation?
A multitude of sins are overlooked when valuations are doing nothing but increasing. You can cover any issues by throwing capital at it. It’s only when the capital runs out that the problems, including fraud, are exposed. That’s how Madoff was discovered as well.
The funniest aspect of this in retrospect is all the sycophants calling SBF "smart" and "a genius". The guy spewed nothing but incoherent word salad BS. He was the Kamala Harris of crypto.
If I wasn't disabled and in poverty, I would like to try this. FTX , you make this sound so easy but if we're broke, can't have a savings account because SSI doesn't allow, how do we get away from poverty?
buy the time scam bankman fried eggs comes out of prison, he will be 145 years old! but why else a billionaire would have billions of dollars? it's to last for their ever long age, that lives forever! duh
I knew almost nothing about this guy or FTX until his “rescues” of BlockFi and Voyager were announced on cnbc. My first thoughts: too good to be true; too bad to be the end.
SBF is a true sociopath. a scary guy who can have a straight face while stealing peoples money. His net worth was billions from the money he stole not the money he made. He should never come out of prison.
FTX had no depositor insurance policy, that’s a serious reason why it was far from being a safe exchange. Nexo not only had depositor insurance but actually has to have proven reserves to just qualify for the policy.
6:33 "All that being said, the world is speeding up. It's speeding up in every way." I imagine SBF's life behind bars is moving at a snail's pace now though. His current dilemma is interesting: he surely wants to get this trial over with. However, if he continues to push that his "jail arrangements" do not leave him enough time to prepare properly, he may just get what he wishes for - more time to prepare - by Judge Kaplan pushing his October trial start date into the future in order "to accommodate his expressed needs". Stalling while you're in your parents 2.5 mill mansion is one thing, but from behind bars is an entirely different scenario.
SBF "understanding the regulatory regimes Ho Ho Ho" didn't age well did it? The interviewer fawned so much it's sick. Strange to watch folk to critique SBF!!! Again ho ho ho
It is a sad story) story of intellectual ignorance…) there are many highly educated millennials got into similar trap…children of educated and wealthy parents in the middle of technological transition…it is something to think about and reflect. I wish this guy to get out of prison as a grown up man for his own sake. I wish him to work for someone , who will handle the real world for him)
hahahahaha Smart????? you and family would've the opportunity to embezzlement more from costumers. People will never forget or forgive what you and co. did.

They are the same but legal thieves
His biggest mistake is getting involved to begin with.
This aged well.
The nicest guy in crypto line aged well. He was nice about stealing everyone's money I guess.
SBF has a talent for tossing word salad.
Now, he’s going to toss some salad.
At 2:20 he says "You'll probably assume it's basically just a scam." lol lol. Turns out it was!!
Does yahoo finance deserve any blame for promoting a Ponzi?
wow this guy's great! i'm sure only nice things will come out from him!
The day will come where people will be saying "The biggest mistake I made was not getting out sooner."
For those who own shtty alt coins.. sure..

Seems like the biggest mistake he made was getting involved... Period.
Folks need to replay this whenever they think of investing in one of these scams promoted by media (or RUclips) figureheads.
Oh yeah, we know him well now. And we’ll get to him even more over the coming 2-4 years!

Nexo sounds like the Nexo-Scamo. So, is it still around?
2:20 aged well
What a great entrepreneur. He seems so well adjusted
Very smart guy who knew exactly what was going on. Now he pretends to be dumb, it was all “accounting errors” he did not know about
Someone left the milk out in the sun for a year, because this aged the same!
