I am not a big metal player, but I do like to dial up heavier tones from time to time, but it might not be heavy enough for some metal players. But I have found that Mesa amps handle pedals really well. In the video the highest I had the gain was around 2 o'clock, if that gives you any idea for the amount of gain you could get.
All you metal guitarists need to learn that gain is not the end all be all for your sound... i've recorded so many metal kids who think this way... it's not conducive to good sound.
Very nice. Just purchased one second hand. cannot wait till it arrives
You will enjoy it! And if you want to get a bigger sound, plug it into a external cab and it becomes a monster!
and ? is it that good?
I love my Mesa 5:25
I'm just about to buy this amp. Is the gain enough for metal with a little boost pedal?
