@@Jujitard69420 no hes right, if ur in a street fight ur goal is to hit him good and get away as soon as possible, for this striking is faster,simplier and safer than going to the ground with a takedown, than take a good position, than make the sub. +on the ground (or if ur too close ) people can bite u , headbutt ecc... + u can have jeans, jacket, or there can be steps or other thing on the ground . + on the ground its harder to see what is happening around u + if the other person is heavier than u its really risky try to go for a takedown. Im not saying its useless but 90% of times if i must choose what "weapon" to use in a quick street fight would be striking.

A good trainer will be able to pick Tate's limited combinations apart and game plan an answer. When he telegraphs that high kick, a step to the left, followed by a hard kick to that plant leg would do the trick. A blitz, with technical striking would be a nightmare for Taint. If Jake Paul learns how to throw decent combinations, with kicks, I bet he knocks him out.
But Tate hasn’t been training for competitive fighting for years, most fresh guys don’t have perfect technique it’s something they work on with experience and fighting over and over. Tate stopped fighting so his mma progression stopped. Jon Jones got great by fighting over and over.
MMA favors strikers who put in the effort to learn grappling over grapplers with no striking and trying to learn on the job while eating knees, kicks and punches on TD attempts. Muay Thai's emphasis on clinch work (especially in Thailand) eases the learning curve compared to other striking styles.
We don’t know what old tate is like yet! So many variables tho. He’s bigger and stronger but older. Cardio and his body’s ability to be pliable perhaps may be a factor
