Spoken Word | Black History Month Poetry | I am born imitation poem | Inspired by Jacqueline Woodson
For black history month, I challenged my scholars to write a piece, prose or poetry, so I decided to deliver a spoken word black history month poem as a model. This poem is written by myself but it is greatly inspired by Jacqueline Woodson’s poem of the same title. Woodson’s poem is found in her book Brown Girl Dream (one of my favs). I hope you enjoy!
