The young lady probably forgot that all ethnic groups identify themselves by their ethnicity--italian-american, greek-ameriican. polish-american, etc. As far as african americans being portrayed negatively-I'm jamaican,but I've lived in America for ages-and the negative image really bothers me. But we are the ones who have to correct that, noone is going to do it for us. 1 way I think is for us to make BET a real tv station where positive programs and people are seen
I have to respond to the young lady who said women are superior to men. That is so wrong. We as women have been labeled inferior to men since the beginning of time, in fact that's what you're discussing, so you know how it feels, so why would you want men to be subjected to that?
What is wrong with make up in Jamaica. Why is it that we make up beautiful black women to look like living dead. miss Fox look far more natural than the host, can't remember her name. If Black women are unable to come on TV and look natural, PLEASE!!!! Black Women need to be comfortable in their own skin first, before talking about all the other thing they want to achieve, because liberation is in the mind!
