I think it would be cool if there was a wandering trainer who’s ridiculously strong and changes their position every time you load the game or fast travel.
O'Nare and Billy actually have more importance than one may think. They're actually Nemona's parents. A maid around Nemona's house directly names O'Nare and wonders how she's doing.

I am really excited to see how the story started here wraps up in Part 2. And how the game will feel and play when it is "Whole" in a full play threw, main game and both DLCs. Because Part 1 feels like it should be played much earlier threw a normal play threw, After Iono or after the first round of midterms in school (i forget how many badges you needed to unlock the tests.). As it was kind of jarring to see young kids with high level first form Pokémon.
Also I just got a Foreign Alolan Geodude so I know what's on task for shiny breading after vulpix
The fact that there are three geodude in two separate battles is a sign of improvement so proud of how far they have come
I am curious if Geeta just doesn’t trust people to go to the crater because of the Child Abandoning-eco system threatening-supervillain ass- Professor, literally dying down there or if there’s some other possible motivation. I don’t think she’s evil? But like something is up.

I liked in the main game that battling enough trainers in an area gives you access to a certain item but I would also like more lore
For me the thing that makes made smile from an NPC is

The thing I can think of that already in the base SV game and something the DLC are item and special encounters.
SV does give you a special item if you complete an area and Perri and Bloodmoon Ursaluna event is beautiful.

Also I was butthurt when one the NPC starter trainer said to be a good sport after they KO my pokemon with Bellsprout. Ruin my run and made me learn bitter malice!!!!

Welp, haven't fought a single one of those optional trainers, because I never really fought anyone in the base game due to them all being optional. So never really noticed the diversity. Guess that's what can happen if you remove mandatory trainer battles...

It’s kind of a shame that the Ogre Clan is only 8 trainers. Would’ve been super fun if they’d been 13 trainers so they could’ve been Kitakami’s pseudo-League. Geodude.
