- This is "Football for Beginners," which means if you don't know anything about football and want to learn "something," then this is the video for you! This short presentation will give you a few of the basics that will at least introduce you to this sport and hopefully get you excited about the season!!!

Just returned to this video after several years since last watching. My dad always wanted me to watch games with him but I didn't understand it, so I did some homework. Now in my adult life it's what I call him to talk about. I really appreciated this video as a young woman and still do. Thank you so much!
I am a soccer fan. But I used to watch some football matches highlights. It looks such an amazing game full of action but I feel like disappointed because I know absolutely nothing about the rules to enjoy it. Thank you for this short and easy explanation. It makes me to understand a lot about football. Now i can start to watch games with a minimum knowledge.

I remember, as a Major College Football Trainer told a buddy of mine, who played in High School, he said, 'Boy's bones do not get hard until their about 17-18 yrs old.' I recommend some Flag Football before HS to ease the chance of knee injuries.

And keenly - if they cannot do a field goal or try the extra yards - the only other option to do as an offense on 4th down is to punt the ball away. Now since I have watched football for years, I realized that the offensive team on 4th down can fake a punt and try to get the extra yards for the 1st down. If they fail on the fake punt, the offensive team lose the ball on downs and the other team gets the ball as the new offense, and the offensive team who loses the ball on downs now because the defense again.

Nice. I came from another intro video. American football has always appealed but I'm in the UK so it's hard to see a game. Heck, it's hard to find teams to support. Once I have one I'm dedicated for life.
I just have no idea which NFL team to support. I'm not upset too much about losing, as the game itself and skill involved matters to me in any sport.
Also great to see another woman explaining.

Edit: I hope to see a game one day. My local uni has a team but I'm not sure if the public can go and watch. Trouble is, when an NFL game is (rarely) in London, it's expensive to go there from the North of England never mind stay in London and afford a ticket.

I just want to say Thank you for your video. I am a mother of 6 and my boys are in youth football and I have gone my whole life not caring about football. Now that my boys play I want to know everything and no one wants to help me so I am resorting to videos and I understand you and I like the way you talk .So I am interested. If you have any more videos I would love to hear them. I know nothing of the sport or the rules and the dos and dont's and when they are on the field once they hand the ball off I lose sight of who has the ball and where it is at until the tackle happens then I know where the ball went. LOL, but more importantly I want to be able to watch my boys do drills and tackles and be able to offer them sincere advice or just to be able to help practice with them but I do not know how to do any of that. Thanks for your video and have a great day
