I'd never heard High on Fire, cause I don't pay attention enough to music, but Drew said they were great. Amazing show, couldn't believe the prescience they had from the first guitar lick. Been one of my favorite bands since. I've been listening to this for days now and it just hits hard. Hug your loved ones. Death is this Communion.
Yes agreed there amazing. There slower stuff I prefer. That's as good as it gets. That power of the bass and the interesting rhythms. Love there first record. First listen of this record. Sleep wasn't bad band either.😉

Saw these guys open Gigantour about 12 years ago, they played most of this album if I am not mistaken. 12 years is a long time ago haha, it was roughly 11-12 years.

My favorite is de vermis de mysteris cause it has such a raw and in your face production that is like sandpaper to your fuckign ears but in a good way. Am a hardcore high on fire fun but what i said is actually subjective!!
I real like steps of zigutar/house of enlil, freebooter. Especially their longer songs like sanction annhilation and steps of...enlil, these song capture perfectly this mid tempo savage epicness of songs like death is is this communion and king of days.
Never forget seeing this live at the House of Blues in Chicago... gained full respect for this band that day. Its about Grab "n Git, thats what Pike does...fucking tone city!

The riff at 19:20 and 24:00 is 💯 🔥 (Also so mamy more for me to remember but I'm pretty high and sitting here sharpening my knife, but when those riffs hit, my head perc'd up n I stopped what i was dointlg)

15 years ago i watched the whole band have a drunken meltdown in their shit RV they were traveling in. It was a shithole bar called the zombie room. They proceeded to melt faces. My girlfriend got kicked out and i said shes not with me. We now have 2 children together.
