I can't believe all the times I've used my Panorama setting and been clueless to what I should have been doing. It's hard to believe that for three years all I have ever done is move the top dial to scn and then selecting 25. Never knew about changing the settings inside the camera. Totally in the dark about vertical view. And, as for manual mode, comparing this tutorial to what I have been doing, I now know why my pictures never come out right. This tutorial is invaluable. I have viewed it over and over again. My sincerest thanks to you for shooting it.
Hello Graham! I'm using a Panasonic Bridge camera (FZ45) from 10 years and I learned a lot from your videos. Today, I received your last newsletter and read about your idea to leave YT, so... please... dont' close your channel!!! I really learned to use my FZ45 by your videos and your blog (I printed some of your tips and tricks card that I carry with me everiday) so I can't lose your preciouses advises! I only have a suggest for your next videos: please, include subtitle because for a non english mother-language it could be better. Greetings from Italy
Ideally, use a panorama tripod head, that lets the camera rotate about the nodal point. Always camera vertical, the ratio between height and width looks better. ICE for stitching manual snaps. There's Flickr group for that program.
I have a similar camera FZ2500. This panorama feature is one I use quite a bit because the resulting photo has more horizontal pixels than a normal shot. Which yields a really nice Pano. Tip: you might not have a tripod with you or using one would be inconvenient, but the scene has a discernable horizon. What can be done is to set the horizontal line on the screen right over the horizon while panning. Keep the line directly on the horizon as best you can. Since you are human and not perfectly able to stay absolutely steady, take 5 or 6 exposures, and throw all but the best away! Thank me later!
Yes, if you like subjects that need zoom. The extra 80mm is useful and can extend to 160mm by trickery. Once you've seen 4K DCI video, anything less is a disappointment. Side entry for SD card is good. The build quality is noticeably better. See Claudinchenchen.
@peregrinestudio The video of the 2000 is DCI, far higher resolution. I've had both, the 2000/2500 is definitely superior. See Claudinchenchen on RUclips, she has several videos there including a direct comparison with the 1000. I had a 5D ii and later a Nikon D750.
I fly fast RC planes and like to photograph them. However I am a wheelchair user and find it virtually impossible to obtain good shots with my FZ1000. Please, Please, Please 🙏 do a video on something like this to help. Thank you Brian
A red-dot sight will help. Olympus EE-1 or go the economy route and use a gun RD and a rail to shoe adapter. I've links in my other pc, will add them later.
Contrast based AF isn't the best option for objects in flight I think that you will need to look at cameras with Phase Detection The Sony RX10 mk1v bridge camera might be a better option with more zoom available as well.

Just glad to help you achieve better images with your camera, thanks for your comment - it is really appreciated.

I have an FZ82 & FZ1000 II, the portrait panorama is a welcome find.
Thanks for that great tutorial on manual focus! The description in the manual is pretty difficult to understand.
Thank you very much for showing us!

Noted!
@@GrahamHoughton12 I didn't care for the price of a pan head so made one.

good idea about multiple takes.
@@GrahamHoughton12 I just wish Panasonic included the feature in my Lumix G9! Would be truly sweet!
Спасибо, отличный урок!
Dang, That’s Helpful❗️ 🙌🏻 Thank You❗️
Good info👍
Glad it was helpful!
Just watched this and thinking of upgrading go 1000 from 82. Is the focus on the 1000 done on the lens, thanks in advanced
@peregrinestudio thank you will do
Who is worth the upgrade ... fz2000 or 1000
The 2000 I find it for 450 used its a budget of apsc dslr
If you own an FZ1000 probably not worth upgrading. If not get an FZ2000. I bought a nice used one on eBay for £440.
