- Liam Neeson spoke with Matt Mahler of MovieWeb about Robert Lorenz's new film, In the Land of Saints and Sinners, set in Northern Ireland circa 1974. He discussed The Troubles, his excellent Irish co-stars (including Kerry Condon and Ciaran Hinds), and rebooting The Naked Gun.
In the Land of Saints and Sinners is out March 29, 2024.

“The Troubles” has to be the most understated historical term to describe such terrible events.
Lol that's true. I guess it's been used by the Irish since the early 1600s. Maybe it's less traumatic to discuss with gentler phrasing, I'm not sure.
@@movieweb I think it’s the Brits - they have a way describing horrible things with understated phrases. Like in WW1, “our boys gave the Jerrys a good go”.
A decent lad is Liam, this film for me did touch on the closeness of community and genuine friendship of people growing up in 70/80s Ireland the (troubles) did impact all of us, sterling performance from all the cast but Imbias, the banshee of innisfree is a movie again well worth watching but then again the world's best talent are all from Eire.. Can y’all do some digging and see what happened to Liam Neeson movie filmed in Boston area “Thug” it filmed and then nothing since hopefully it comes out
We believe Thug will be released Oct. 17, 2024. In the meantime, we liked In the Land of Saints and Sinners, it has some great performances and a beautiful setting on the Irish coast.
