they probably call them boars in Europe and probably don’t have very many in Sweden so I get the confusion. That being said hogs is now my go to for hot dogs
But realistically how many people call them hogs? Especially if you don’t speak English you arnt going to be referring to them as hogs. That being said in Sweden they are called svin, which the common translation of is pig or swine, with hog being notably less common
