      Such a perfect name for a weightlifter of that size who looks like that, lifts that heavy, has that technique and has that demeanor. Everything single thing about him I can look at and say yeah, Gor is the correct name.

      @mickrockhard1100 4 месяца назад +5

      Yeah that 215 looked ridiculous. I thought he was good for 225ish. I was very surprised he missed that 220.

    • @billkenney2855
      @billkenney2855 4 месяца назад +3

      From my point of view he just missed his lockout point at the top of the movement, going back a bit too far and then getting thrown too far forward to stop it, had to bail. Lasha at 100% would have been able to control it and complete the snatch. I think he did pretty much the same thing with his 225 world record. On that lift you can see him go up so strong he gets out of the groove, but he’s able to stabilize it and complete the snatch. Which is an utterly astounding feat of strength and balance. But Lasha now, at less than 100%, couldn’t do it.
      In my opinion, Lasha has such unreal power going up with the snatch, that he almost generates more power than is safe for stability. But when he’s completely healthy he can handle it and stabilize the movement.

    • @ConnoisseurOfExistence

      @@billkenney2855 If he had 1 more attempt, he'd have lifted it. I think he did it in training recently.

    Lasha could have got reds to that 255 but I also have say that looking at it in the very basic sense he did lift that 255 above his head. Lalayan and Gor didn't. I find the jury's work atrocious. They've been ruining competitions for years now.

    Big guys in the 3rd millennium, in 2024, they are trying to push 255 kg, the weight that Vasily Alekseev pushed in the mid-70s of the last century (!) and which is 10 kg less than what Anatoly Pisarenko pushed in the early 80s of the last century.
    And unsuccessfully.
    Why is this so? ))
    Where are the progress?

    Agreed that Lasha's 255 looked iffy by the absolute clownshoes judging standards of this Olympics. Glad they didn't have to send it to the jury of other clowns.

    • @barath4545
      @barath4545 4 месяца назад +2

      It did, but OTOH, noone else of the big 3 jerked the weight.
      Lasha PROBABLY had a litttttttle pressout and was really struggling with standing still after getting the weight up there and that down signal saved his ass.
      So in that regard I feel like Lasha still earned it the most of the supers in CJ - So I don't feel they gave it to him, he earned it the most.

    I got the impression that Tank had decided from previous sessions at the olympics, and even himself at the World Cup, that he just wanted to get a total on the board and not bomb out with that 200 opener. Super conservative but ultimately he knows he isn't getting a medal and nothing destroys someone like Tank's vibes more than bombing out

    Lesman had Colombian coaches with him to Bahrain, they were shouting cues to him in Colombian Spanish, which makes sense - would be a massive undertaking switching to new coaches in a foreign language when switching federations. Bahrain has the money to get Armenian and Colombian coaches so the athletes feel more at ease and not have to learn Bahrani Arabic instantly lol

    Пока Лаша объективно сильнее своих конкурентов и победил он вполне заслуженно если бы ему не засчитали победный вес было бы несправедливо потому что он всё-таки поднял над головой конкуренты были далеки от этого что-то мне кажется что до лос-анджелеса ему не хватит здоровья видно как ему тяжело с таким весом собственным а сбрасывать вес нельзя сразу силы покинут сила напрямую зависит от веса
