Having owned an earlier Gilera Fuoco 500 I found the effort and time required to remove the rear wheel exceeds that of my current ride a Kymco AK 550 scooter. The AK has the same rear suspension, brake as the CV3. Minor servicing times would be about the same however major services will be more costly on the CV3. Unfortunately the Kymco CV3 is not available in Australia where I live. Yes and Gilera/ Piaggio no longer sells the MP3 530 in Australia. Yamaha does however sell three wheel scooters and a motorcycle here in OZ but they are too expensive!
I got to say I am very impressed with your content this is the best overview of both scooters I have viewed thus far! Keep up the good work. Your video has further convinced me that the MP3 530 is the way to go.
Just a quick side note, the under seat storage for the Kymco CV3 won't fit either a Schuberth C3 or a Shoei neotec flip front helmets. The Kymco panniers are a whopping £700 and Kymco have deceided not to bring their own top case to the UK, so I have to decide between Givi, Kappa or Shad panniers and top cases, anyone have any thoughts on which to buy?
@@Guardian2003 I went for the Shad 3p system with SH23 panniers and a SH48 top box, with hindsight I should have gone for the SH36 panniers instead, the 23’s are just too small and the inside front edge digs into my wife’s thighs causing her discomfort
hi, can you fit the Schuberth C5 (63cm sized) helmet under the Kymco's seat? I had some time ago MP3 500, have sold it only when Piaggio de-rated the engine due to oil Überlauf challenge. Kymco looks sportier, you say it drives better, if I could put big helmet as C5 in the storage under the seat, I would be seriously considering Kymco
I used to ride but I’m in a wheelchair now. My left leg works but not my right leg so coming to a halt on two wheels was deadly! Of these two bikes which do you think would best carry a wheelchair on the back? (Wheels off and seat down) Seriously i am considering this as a solution to riding and banking rather than standard no banking trike. I do need a lottery win or wait for a used price. 😊👍❤️♿️

Both about the same. I'm 6' 3" and ride an MP3 500. Just did over 200 miles to Devon in the UK and had no problems at all. I'd have done it in one go but sadly my bladder can't cope - not a problem as there is always time for coffee and cake or coffee and a bacon butty.
What on earth is the using a Chinenglish script with an Native English computer generated voice doing trying to promote these products? Sooo much nonsensical phrases. Is is really that hard to hire a person who speaks real English to create/edit a promotional video? Terrible
@@tomazstor6501 nothing to do with the engine... or bmw...that price is sick and you know it! Btw sym tl503 have better 2 cylinder engine and is cheaper
Most countries you can use a motorbike license BUT some countries allow you to ride on a car license, so this is a benefit if you don't want to go to the expense of taking a motorcycle test.
The CV3 looks even better with Kymco panniers fitted. Especially if everything is matching black.
Thanks for the video guys. But I'm amazed that you didn't mention the breaks!!
I bought a Piaggio MP3 530 HPE because before that I had a Piaggio MP3 300 LT Busines for 8 years. I am 188cm tall, no problems.
Just have to point out, the Piaggio has about 35% lower consumption as the Kymco!!!
Kymco have 35% stonger engine

The CV3 can have a top case without sacrificing the back sit.
So far, I only found Shad offers that option, but I very much prefer Givi Dolomiti boxes...

Personal choice would be Shad. Great quality and I think Givi can be a little overpriced with no real benefit in terms of quality etc.

He says CV3 is better for smaller people so I bet the Piaggio MP3 is better for taller people.
