  • Linden trees (Tilia) are known as Linden for the European species and basswood for North American species. In Britain and Ireland they are commonly called Lime trees.
They are large deciduous trees reaching 65 to 130 ft tall. They have large heart-shaped broad leaves and clusters of yellowish flowers when in bloom.
There are around 30 species of linden trees and shrubs in the genus Tilia. Linden trees bloom in the summer and are known for their fragrant yellowish flowers that attract bees. Some beekeepers grow linden trees specifically for the superior quality delicious honey that the bees produce.
Linden tree flowers are also used for herbal teas and tinctures.
(This video was taken in East Vancouver at 45th and Stirling street)
The fragrant scent of Linden trees has always reminded me of my Mom. This video is dedicated to her ❤️🌷❤️

Thank you for the video. Now I can SEE how far apart to plant the seedlings I have coming! I like how they look when grown next to each other. Very attractive! I live in North Texas, so will have to water them well untill the become established. Well worth any effort!
