Some games where I don't have the best start I try to focus on big and strong midgame minions so I at least make it to top 4. Giving up on trying for 1st place is a tough decision, but sometimes one you need to make so you don't end up 7th or 8th due to your bad start.
Fair but sometimes not synergizing in the midgame or "playing it safe" is what puts you in 8th - gotta go w the flow and hope you dont get too unlucky id say
Yeah sometimes it feels like every game is just you losing less instead of winning, it sucks.
To be fair in Battlegrounds you have 7 losers every game, while in regular Hearthstone you have only 1 or a draw.

At 12:35 I was like, these are the times where you can easily if you’re unlucky lose next match and place 8th or if you survive go on a run and win 1st.

That's just the regular decktracker. It gives you the tier lists and shows you the enemies' boardstate from when you last fought them and how many turns ago that was.

That's just the regular decktracker. It gives you the tier lists and shows you the enemies' boardstate from when you last fought them and how many turns ago that was.
HS Deck tracker gives the tier lists on screen. Firestone is the better at keeping game logs of your games. HS Deck Tracker also shows you the last board state of each opponent that you saw (if you hover their face on the left of the screen)

Murlocs just don't seem to work in the early game anymore, unless everyone else is super weak.
early murlocs is weak even if you have a good mulroc start, but think of it like demons. you lose hp and you win most matches, in murloc case the hp lose is not from you but from enemy and you win later most matches, and murloc beat demons super late game.

the only thing that sucks about this mode (and I hope they'll patch it) is that sometimes you havent faced like 1, 2 or 3 opponents for the whole game, and keep tagging those who destroyed you 2 turns ago ... :(

16:40 So far this game Firebat has had terrible attack rng. That's one of the biggest problems in battleground. Very very rng dependent.

It had poison, that's why. You want the poison minion to attack second reliably.

20:00 why did u chose a useless 3-77 demon without having any way to buff it when u could have chosen Baron Rivendare instead for 2x the Bagurgle deathrattle I will never know ... also taunting the murlocs to have a HUGE buff after every 2-3 taunt buffing dude paired with brann...
The golden bagurgle wasn't even dying at that point and the battlemaster got rid of a huge divine shield. The taunt everything and buff it play is just unnecessary, divine shield poison murlocs are already the strongest late game comp
