I bought Guidance based on hearing so many influencers say how good it is, and I HATE IT. I've tried it several times, and I just don't get the hype.
These "influencers" nose has to be bought when it comes to amouage fragrances. Like sis are you just trying to sell us because I don't see it smh
I love guidance. What works for me may not work for you. Fragrance is subjective as we all know.

I’m curious, you get compliments but how do you truly like the opening? I don’t think I can get through that point , to get to the compliment zone?

I always appreciate your candor and hilarious delivery and descriptions! I haven't tried Guidance yet, but the curiosity is killing me. What I don't understand is commenters (not just here but in general) equating "liking a fragrance that they don't like" with *lying*. Since when are we not allowed to have different opinions? Our perception of a fragrance differing from someone else's does not make either of us a bad person. People need to Chill. Out. 😆
I think most times, it's about people liking everything all the time. Also, most are joking, like me. It's an added way of saying this is so bad that there's no way anyone could like it. 🤣 we all better know that fragrance is subjective.
Guidance is bomb. I’m on my second bottle. It’s not for everyone but I don’t need everyone smelling like me either 💅🏼✨ I’m happy you mentioned how the dupe is not 100% because I don’t think so either.

In January I decluttered 14 bottles because I decided 100+ full bottles was too much. I gave them to family & friends. This weekend I bought 7 bottles (Memorial Day sales). I am not dwindling down. I have no regrets.

I’m so glad I found your Chanel bcz you’re real!!! These other people being straight up lying!!! I brought so many on recommendations that NOW I’m only sticking to commercial popular scents I can try on in totes first and the 5 houses I know and love! I’m back at playing with Chanel’s Les Exclusif line and although it’s more mature, I’m learning to appreciate its uniqueness and will not be smelling like every else.

The Amouage rant has me cackling!! 😂😂😂 I love Guidance but I understand why many people don’t like it because Amouage is a challenging house. But thanks for your review of Sparkling Jo because the way people were saying how good this one was had me confused. It’s awful and most of the people I saw singing its praise got it in PR.
I like Amouage Sunshine and Lilac Love. No pretending needed. 😂
Heyyyy there I don’t have the Amouage Guidance I do have the Dua inspired one and it smelled nice to me I’m gonna check it out again though because I haven’t worn it in a while I did order a decant of Material by Amouage and I do like it
Montale has one called Wild Pears that I really like a lot I layer it with a lot of pear fragrances and Arabian Tonka by Montale is a good one to me There are a few others I plan to get decants of just to check out Thanks I’ll be looking forward to another entertaining haul 😂
Guidance got you worked up girl. I love it, it became what Angel by mugler was before L’Oréal bought it and water it down. Last year while we’re at Neiman Marcus I smelled guidance from the sprayer and the smelled stayed in my nostrils for two days. I asked my husband for my birthday last year. Amouage is a house that is based on frankincense, ambergris and other essences. It’s beautiful yet complex house. For my birthday just yesterday, I got blossom Love and I already own Honor woman. I have samples of many of them and I’d love to own a couple of them. But guidance is my love and it’s what stops me from getting more. Perhaps if you give it a break and go back you may start enjoying it.

Montale, have you tired Lucky Candy yet? I scented it one day. And I think I like it. Going to get a sample of it.
Lol! The part about guidance 😂 has be on the floor!! I bought a supposed dupe for it and omg 😳 it’s hard to believe anyone would want to smell like this .. lord forgive me. I know fragrance is subjective but those were my thoughts in my head. I can see some enjoying it but not the majority… if my dupe is accurate at least. Love your content and your honesty ❤(edit: so I continue watching and then you pull out the exact dupe I’m referencing😅 a fellow RUclipsr convinced me too)!
Guidance gets me sooo many compliments. It’s a beast but it’s pretty to me. I want Material from Amouge this fall. Seems like a good one for the cold weather.
Im not a Montale fan either. Can’t vibe with anything from that house.

Now I loveeeee amouage but also loveee a good truthful READ😂. Guidance is my signature scent and I understand it’s difficult but the rest of the new scents are questionable to me ! Thanks for your honest opinion bc I’m hearing you ❤

I struggle with Amouage and Montale too. I have Sunshine Her and I like it but I've had it a few years and have only worn it maybe 3 times, so there's that... but I do still want to keep it. The only Montale I've found that I like so far is Vanilla Cake but it is very linear...missing some depth, and it doesn't last long. Thanks for the honest take on these that you tried today!
I have a 10ml decant of guidance for months and have tried it on my arm maybe 3 times. It's overwhelming and a difficult wear. The first time I wore it, my husband asked me very kindly to not wear that one when we're going out together 😂.

I love how unapologetic you are towards Amouge!!! I kept thinking I needed guidance based on how hyped up it is, I got a sample and it was a NO!! Too strong- it’s sad because of how much hype that fragrance received. Thank u for being honest!

Amouage has been a very challenging house for me as well , one of the first fragrances I tried was Journey Woman and it was an absolute scrubber, couldn't get it off quickly enough , I like Lilac Love , but haven't found the right price , it's super powdery to my nose , I would need a deep discount 😍

I haven't tried Guidance yet, but I was do looking forward to your opinion on it. I have Meander by Amouage and I like it's take on a fresh, minty aspect. However, it's the metallic feel I get from it. The fragrance reminded me of Rich Mess Striking. It have a fruit note of watermelon, but it has a warehouse, metallic feel. Like you you smell like a fruit, but the sweat is so pungent, it gives a wet feel. This fragrance house is definitely unique and I personally think, because if it's unique ingredients and blend, it gives a unique perspective on fragrance. I appreciate your perspective on Amouage, and was curious about an impression fragrance of it

I've only tried Guidance once at a friend's, I need to buy a sample because I paid zero attention to it 😂 too busy chatting... Even my friend, who love Amouage, says the opening is messy, you're not alone. The dupes are plentiful now but, there will only be more and more...

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who feels that way about Guidance 😅 Honestly at initial spray, it opened smelling like spit to me. (This was on fresh off-the-shower clean, and well hydrated skin) I was confused, how my fave influencers are hyping it up hard! Took more than an hour to get to the dry down on my skin, and I found it more bearable than the opening. But I’m all about the journey than the destination lol… just sayinnn
Tell the truth 😂. Tired of things being hyped up. Some perfumes are definitely not worth the coin.

That's the sample set I was gifted that made me truly appreciate and enjoy guidance 😆😂. I tried it quite a few times at Neimans counter and couldn't understand the hype. But now i want to add it to my collection just not at full price. Also garners a lot of compliments. I appreciate your honesty experience. We can't love everything.
😂❤I'm not a fan of Guidance, either. Like some others, I get a BO smell from that fragrance. It's not for everyone. I recommend Amouage "Love Delight." It's more mass appealing. Some find it basic, but I believe it's a great introduction into the house.

I appreciate your reaction 😅 I've been so curious about Amourage fragrances so I've ordered samples. I actually enjoy Lilac Love with the lilac & white chocolate note. Im only getting it because they've repackaged the love line because its rumored Loreal took over. The old packaging of the first release of the love line can be found under $150 if you're lucky and I got lucky. Love Tuberose is okay but you may not like it 😅 I THINK you may get with Lilac Love. As always enjoyed your video.

Guidance became my fave purchase when it released.
I hadn't found a Montale scent that I enjoyed either until I tried Lucky Candy. Just don't expect it to smell like candy. It's more of a marshmallowy tropical floral.

I'm so glad it's not just me! I tried a discovery set from Vilhelm that I got from TwistedLily and the only fragrance I like is the Poet's of Berlin but I haven't tried it on my skin yet. All the other fragrances fall flat! They're muted for whatever reason, it's like I'm sniffing the fragrance behind glass and the notes aren't quite coming out like I expected them to. I haven't tried any of the Amouage and I don't think I'm going to lol
“Trying to keep an open mind….not doing a good job…..WHATEVER” 😂😂. I am a fan of Amouage, but their scents are DEFINITELY not for everyone. Material is a probably the safest choice (vanilla). If you enjoy a sweet white floral scent, I’d say try Love Tuberose. I think my favorite (to date) is Overture, with Crimson Rocks being a close second.
I have been wanting that discovery set from Amouage. For me, formaldehyde is not in my scent journey. I have been holding back from Amouage thank you for sharing your hones point of view.
I'm only on Sparkling Jo and I feel the EXACT same way. They played in Josephine Baker's face.

I’d be curious about your thoughts on Amouage’s Love Delight. Not worth retail but is probably the easiest one from the house. It’s pretty but I’m waiting to catch it at a reasonable price.
I feel you 100% with guidance. I got a sample (thank goodness I did not blind buy) because of the rave reviews and I was shocked how not only NOT good, but how BAD it smelled to me. I could never wear this and I am ok with that. I def side eyed some of these reviewers after this one.

The only Amouage Fragrance I like is Love Tuberose. Dua does a fantastic job of duping it! I have the OG and Dua and I love it
I love Bake! I think it’s the best lemon gourmand! Guidance literally made me gag and then laugh because I realized how influencers will lie to sell this sh*%. I do like Sunshine, but not for that price. I just ordered a decant of sparkling Jo, the reviews are all over the place on that one. Amouge just doesn’t interest me anymore. I’m basically over the fragrances that cost more than $300. I have such a large collection there’s no need for me to spend that kind of money anymore. I mean how different can a fragrance really smell from all of the ones that have already been created.

I've seen reviews of people saying Guidance smells like fish🤮 So I don't even want to try it.
I tried sparkling jo- it was ‘ok’ jot full bottle worthy to me. I have a decent of Amouage beach hut woman and while I like it because it actually smells exactly like what you would expect something with driftwood as a note. I have been hesitant to buy the full bottle and I’m pretty sure they just have discontinued it. It is interesting but do I want to smell like a sea hag?? Maybe in another few years I’ll be one hahahahah!!!

It’s fine to offer quick snif reactions but Amouage FOR SURE has to be worn on skin & truly given a real wear test to know. Pretty unfair to the house as you definitely go into their frags with the opinion you’re already going to hate it 😂
This house will be fine regardless of my opinion but I have tried them all on skin and feel the same way about all of the openings. All of them. There are 2 that have my attention upon the drydown. 😁

@shahrinshahi8119 I've owned all of them in the small size, and they stand alone. The one I have is nectar, and it stands alone. So I've never had one or seen one that didn't.

Lol..I can agree about Amouage..I don't see the hype..and none of them smell good to me. La Capital start out ok but something in the dry down is not right to me and certainly not enough for me to purchase a bottle of that one cause I do have some others from Xerjoff that are perfecto!

I haven’t sample the Guidance but I tried the DUA version and its definitely misguided: it’s lost. It smells like buttered bread with pickles not like any of the notes listed. Not a single one. Not one.
I can see how it may be tolerable to some because like maybe it smells like your grandma’s house or sumn but choosing to scent your body this way😳- issa no for me dawg.

Guidance smells like vomit with fruit and florals mixed in. Jo was a missed opportunity to make a beautiful fruity champagne fragrance. Akro Bake didn't last on me so I bought DUA Sweet Lemon Pastry. I own Akro Rise. Hibiscus Mahajad stank to me. Fig Infusion turned into 4 different fragrances on me.

Lol. I just received my Guidance sample from Scent Split because I was curious about how it smells. Omg, it's sooo disgusting. It's embarrassing. I'm questioning influencers' authenticity with this one big time, too. I tried to be patient with it, but nope. I scrubbed it off my arm and could still smell it the next day and no, it didn't smell any better to me. It's a lot of money to smell offensive. 🚮

THANK YOU!!! Guidance is TRASH. I got a sample and have sprayed it in different seasons and it smelled horrible all year around. I sprayed it on me, in the air and on paper…still stank.

LOL, hilarious. I haven't found anything I like from Amouage yet either. The bigger the collection, the harder it gets to find a new love. I have found a new house to me. The Merchant of Venice. If you get the chance, try Arabesque and Andalusian Soul from the Murano Collection. Hugs from Argentina.

I'm not an Amouage fan either. Not a house for me at all. I've smelled one or two that are ok but not for the price. Most of them I do not like.
Guidance is a beautiful complex fragrance. I respect it but it’s too strong for me, it gives me a headache, and I’m not the biggest fan of nutty notes. If Amouage came out with a fresher take on it I’d be interested in trying it. That’s why I bought the dupe. But the dupe is DISGUSTING to me, actually makes me like Guidances the original WAY more. I understand if you like guidance but if you think the dupe is an exact match, you do not have a good sense of smell. Do not trust the influencers that say it’s a 1:1 dupe for Guidance, it is NOT.
Amouage guidance literally makes me gag. It smells like hot dogs and onions thats been sitting in the dumpster for days. I just don’t get it. What are people smelling? This is just my experience and opinion. No disrespect to anyone here if you like it.
