    The Skulls being difficulty should have been obvious, but there I was, 7 attempts deep into a 5 star sabotage as my 1st ever mission, wondering how anyone played this game.

    That thing about sprinting being kinda good for melee was a gamechanger for me. I was struggling to get anything done until i tried using sprint more on a melee character and immediately I ended up with a backpack so full of loot I had to drop all my medicine and ammo at the end just to haul back all the trade goods. Turns out being a cannibalistic space axe murderer is a lot easier if you sprint at the enemies

    In my opinion, the red skulls should be arranged in the opposite order.
    The skulls should turn from grey to red starting at the left side, not the right side.
    One skull missions should have one red skull on the left, and four grey skulls to the right of the red skull... don't know why they have them arranged in the opposite order.

    Defense missions used to be quite profitable before the 0.6 update. They were fairly easy to complete and allowed you to farm a lot of loot, which may not have been always all that useful as is, but could be used in barter.

    Tip: Right click on your enemy to see their stats, their health, and most importantly, their resists! Especially in the early game you're in the deep without a way to deal cutting damage (against AR and Quasis)

    Helping out realware, sbn, and other known powerful factions can be VERY dangerous for you in the long run.
    Personally, I like to play by empowering the factions with worse defense and gear, while keeping the top tier factions at the bottom.
    This allows me to empower the top tiers much easier in mid game, while also not having to deal with those factions being the enemies I face every single time.

    Bad guy, good guy?
    B, noone's a good guy in this setting and I personally always suport either Teztclan or Civies- world chose ancap so it signed it's death sentence for me.
    As for tips:
    1. Stick to Mars, as ya said, if you don't know what you're doin.
    2. Don't please everyone- you can't (and you know my statement on the world presented)
    3. Go out on looting run missions as Isabella- she can't get infections so your backpack is a bit more free since you don't need the meds for infections and also, you can just eat your enemies if you have the knife (and a first aid, raw manjerky damages hp). If you have tunelrats you gotta give'em to her- most run eclipse blades on Izzy but if you lootrun take tunelrats.
    4. ALWAYS TAKE A FKIN SHOTGUN WITH YOU. They not only push enemies aside, they fuck up robots good. Yeah, they suck against armour, but most enemies either get pushed or fold like a fkin chair when shot with buckshot.
    5. Sorbent is free to produce. Noone buys it, but you get 10 per stack and it's a relatively cheap "cureall" for infections and poison. It sucks at both jobs, but you won't cry if you loose it all.
    6. Do the turorial, always do the tutorial. Yes, you anger Civies, but you get rather good starter loot from it.
    PS. Do not check your health on medical deck in tutorial, it will always give you a wound and infection if you are on this floor. Save the meds for later and the medbed has all the charages and there's only one enemy on board.

      - for shotguns i would say its anti Quasimorphs too . (Auto ones recommended)
      And look for armor weakness! When something immune to shotgun either energy weapons or thrust damage weapons will ruin it!

    Some info I got:
    1) Don't even try 4-5 red skulls missions without 5 dataminers
    2) One-shooters and one-shell-reload shotguns are a trap that WILL get you killed
    3) electromagnetic pistols are a trap
    4) If you feel things can get hairy near lift - try to cheeze the game by hopping in-out of elevator to deal chip damage

    • @csabawars
      @csabawars 4 месяца назад +1

      I dont feel 4-5 skulls are that bad early.
      Just stack up quasimorphosis on each level and ready up with a full auto shotgun.
      You can murder them by staying in a corner and burst shot the quasis.
      Sometimes the robotic defense kill the boss too!
      - for a real tip: look for the damage type! Its night and day if you met a heavy armor guy for example a Frame or Pattern armored person and shot with Thrust damage! It kill them extremly fast. But you can shot for days with anything else. (Over 40-50 def is crazy.)
      - shotgus great to infilict wounds! It can make the target bleed out and reduce perfomance even if you deal only chip damage.

      One shell reload weapons are situational weapons that can be very powerful under the right circumstances. The tube fed shotgun is excellent if you have good ammo management. The heavy pistol is a lightweight weapon for builds that need some piercing damage but want to keep weight low. Even the hunting rifle is excellent for eliminating single targets. All of these weapons require good ammo management, and benefit from having a second weapon to fall back on. Every step you take you should be reloading a shell until you are full.

    0:50 skulls aren't really a good display of difficulty in this game. You can easily go for 5 skulls in the start of the game. It only displays quantity of your enemies and how big that level is going to be. It is actually a pretty good idea to go for 5 skulls in the beggining as you get grip of loot around Mars for example. However in the areas with active quasimorphs the more skulls there are the higher the probability of them showing up. But even with low skulls you can't be too careless. Also it can get very difficult on 1 skull missions depending on the faction. I ended up going up against bums who only got amputated limbs as weapons and got no supplies to loot. I pretty much starved to death. You can't approach difficulty as in other games in Quasimorph.

    Some of this advice is pretty bad tbh. Sneak walking everywhere wastes time and ticks down hunger while giving time for the Q meter to build. It'd be better if you said to sneak before entering a room or rounding a corner. Also, consuming flesh, including furnicals is generally a bad idea unless you're on Mars. Raising the Q meter is usually not worth whatever small benefit you get. Finally, defense missions are actually an excellent source of loot early on. Better advice would be to go in with your best armor, find a good defensive position, and beat the mission to loot the dozens of bodies. You start the game with a couple of auto turrets, that makes defense missions easier.

    so i went to a friendly base, ancom, and apparently the trade number increases, somehow, so when you put random food in there, and exchange, i got insane loot! was from ancom and realwear, about 7000 points each...
    does in increase after each mission? carnage armor set now hehe

    • @SteveAkaDarktimes
      @SteveAkaDarktimes 3 месяца назад

      Trading works as follows: see stock market: every faction has a list of random things they will give you for x value with different x% chance. if you drop more than the X value, they just trade you the same "lootbox" multiple times. as tech and power increases, so does the quality of the lootbox, and its values.
      Also! after 2-3 times I HIGHLY recommend the Quick trade option be ticked yes in the options: you can also autofill their desired items in a base with the arrows next to "exchange".
      this way you can just click through every base in a location, and trade all your loot without million loading screens and fiddly inventory management.

  • @Scroolewse

    Just started and I'm wondering how much of my inventory should I be devoting to random components? I figure I should just be taking one fat stack of a single component each run so it can later be built into something while on the ship. But I see there are some crafting benches around in the missions, is it worthwhile to be filling yourself up with scraps so that you can make things mid-mission?

    • @SteveAkaDarktimes
      @SteveAkaDarktimes 3 месяца назад

      its a balance: Materials stack higher than crafted products. If you're hurting for inventory space during a mission raw material is better. but crafting in ship takes time. I think focusing on 1 or 2 large stacks of a specific material per mission is better than picking up 6 different, but high value things.

    • @Scroolewse

      @@SteveAkaDarktimes What consequence is there if you just x100 the speed to finish your crafting stuff?

    • @kingsuperbobboy
      @kingsuperbobboy 2 месяца назад

      @@Scroolewse Time, corporations grow and attack each other over time if you put the speed to 100x technology and power between factions will trade quite a bit which will also affect mission difficulty

    • @Kitkat-986
      @Kitkat-986 18 часов назад

      Usually I prioritize lightweight, valuable items, or items I need for ship upgrades. However, if I need a specific resource for crafting (glass for helmets and scoped weapons, cloth for bandages, plastic for food, cans and explosives for grenades, etc.) I will devote a single slot to that resource and try to carry a full slot out with me by the end of the mission. Remember, dismantle enemy items mid mission to max out that stack. Defense missions are also a good source of raw materials. Go in with a large backpack, drop it where you spawn so it doesnt weigh you down, beat the mission, pick the backpack up and start looting.

    Funny, I cannot find a single video out here giving tips on how to fight the quasimorph. Is everyone just cheesing them with dodge chance? I have tried max cold resistance, exploiting every angle and movement possible, and it's STILL not enough... The only time I've gotten through a quasimorph level is by keeping its level under 300, and getting addicted to 3 substances...
