- Hi guys, this is poco f1 and i'm noticing a problem or issue, a major con lately related to performance in spite of it having snapdragon 845 processor and liquid cooling technology, in this video i'll mention about that with proof, let me know your thoughts as well.

i have the same problem beacause of a bad sd card
I have transferred about 12GB(all files) from my Samsung class 6 card. It was done within minutes... Not a hick at all... Maybe it's only happening in your phone or card?

Rahul Gupta Ravihal, no bro its perfectly fine i transfer files on the daily basis as i record from smartphone, i have noticed no problems on moto g5 plus, and at the beginning i have also mentioned and shown that the content from sd card is perfectly accessible by playing a video from the sd card, i feel its the problem of file manager on miui, i'll try and check with some 3rd part file managers and let you know if its fixed or not.
Even myself transferred my 32GB Samsung Evo SD Card.its having almost 20GB .No issues at all
It's not the problem of your device....it's the problem of your sd card....I also had this type of problem before with my Redmi Note 3...and then I discovered the problem was with my SD card...if you try to format the SD card it will not format and will hang your phone at about 70%...and if you try to copy files to this card....it will not copy...but if you try to open files from SD card it will open easily....so it's not the problem of phone it's the SD card....

@@raphli6570 that's why flagship phone doesn't have option to put sdcards, except samsung(that makes Samsung unique)
It's very a small bug becoz sometimes happen in phone becoz of not correct codding of obj in android and data becomes corrupted as we have seen in iphone message hang it's just like that but with a different problem it that the speed coding is corrupted and this can fix easily becoz it's ufs2.1 flash

Always buy class 10 sdcards for fast read and write speeds it's not at all related to certain phone, by the way you didn't mentioned your sdcard class number...

If u select multiple files of 3 to 4 gb then it will take time.. if u transfer 1 file of 3 to 4 gb it can be transferred quickly
I have seen this issue with other xiaomi phones too, hope they take note of the issue
Buy a better comparable sd card, it will get fixed

its the common problem on all mi devices kindly use ES file Explorer and your work will be done.
i suggested him the same i never use stock file explorers. I'm not sure if it is deal breaker

There is another major issue with POCO f1 😥💥
When we cut and paste any file from ( in my case just copied PUBG GAME data from xender folder to internal memory >Android>data /obb) one folder to another, after exiting the file explorer app. " The copied data (1.5gb)was automatically erased "

The thumbnail says " watch before you purchase"......totally misleading. You should have had made a video using 2 different sd cards (the one you're using and a new one) and compare those 2 and then give your opinion. Just because you are having some issue doesn't mean stop others from buying it.
Its true i had the same issue while transferring files to otg drive aswell
Try this test with more than just one phone and multiple SD cards from different brands. Maybe issue with your phone and / or SD card. My mom uses a Pocophone F1 and i moved all her data from previous phone and it did that without a hitch.

You are right... Same problem occur with me.. Some time some functions not work properly.... For example.. Keyboard.. Gestures... Etc.
because of new android version and feature.
the requirement for sd card class is higher. its started from android 6.0.
lower class of sd card can affect performance.
I love this phone. The only problem is Screen Durability. Its reallllly weak......
I have copy 1000 whatsapp pics whose size is very small n it takes more than 2 hour to transfer 1000 pics.. i feel like its slow than Bluetooth
this is a common problem with other xiaomi devices, ive experienced this issue with my late note 4x and my current note 5 ai
I thought indians are good at math. Average file transfer (depends on the brand and type) is about 12-16mbps transfer rate and you're transferring a multiple 3gb+ of file. Then you expect your phone to operate like normal while transferring your files?

yes!! the phone is hanging very badly ..post one month of usage i'm regretting now !!One more issue i found on my poco is that the battery dosnt charge above 76% ...dont know if others are facing this.
This must be fixed.If i hate anything,it's these times when the phone is totally frozen.

It's definitely a peculiar problem, because I did not face this issue on miui 9 or 10 beta. I have not used sdcard but I have transferred a lot of files from pc and it was pretty quick and did not face any lag
there is a problem while i split the screen for youtube,instagram and call. these app not supports the split screen
The main purpose of having these phone is to call, text and browse social media...and not to transfer files. What you posted is just a good to know thing. People will decide if they will buy the device or not.

I use OTG pen drive and no any problems face while trancefer the files

Which version of muiu running ? Maybe you need to install final build manually
Make sure you have two things mate. One, the SD Card you use is Class 10 and the laptop/desktop has an ssd/hdd at 7200rpm. This increases the speed and hence prevents hang. My one plus 6 faces this issue with laptop. So i use an otg now to transfer files between it.

@@ericrodrigues3749 luckily my variant doesn't have that issue but I have heard some complaining about that issue on their model's but there is nothing to worry as if you find having that problem after you purchase than you can always replace it within 10 days of your purchase on Flipkart

Mine doesn't have that issue and about the screen bleeding its not in every unit its only in some units say 3-4 out of 100 units and they have already sold out more than a 100000 units by now and luckily mine doesn't have that issue either I'm guessing the problems are from the base variant (6gb ram 64gb ROM)
May it's problem with your device. I transferred my data from sd card to internal, it transfer 5-6 gb with in few min.
Once check with service center.

The speed also depends on the number of files you are transferring. Try transferring single file of large size and check if it still slows down.
Hello dear RGtechTv it is a small problem which have a little bug in file manager and no issue in snapdragon 845, in next update xioami will fix the issue. You can use other file handlers or download from google play store.for ex- es file explorer or zarchiever etc. Thank you
You should consider that his sd card probably isn't working properly. Bad SD cards cause lags and hanging all time.

I don't use the native file manager but Total Commander app. No problem at all. I even forced the Poco file manager to stop and it doesn't appear anymore in my applications.
im using pocophone f1 and dont have this problem. I can access the notification tray or cancel the action, and it transfers at an okay speed. Stop making clickbait videos

So far so good with my device, I have transferred many large files to my SD card without any problems. No lags either.

I am facing same issue , even sometimes some files dont even transfer to pc. Need to reconnect cable to start tranfer.

Transfer Speed is awesome...
I transferred many files from internal to SD and pendrive as in Single transfer 20 gb 30 gb
It took mins, transfer rate was 100 mbps to 200 mp here and there
My phone is full with data 90gb is occupied with movies songs
It never lagged
There might be individual problem with U

Just hard format ur phone once and update to latest miui
And see it will work as charm
I also suffered from problem i tried to copy video files from srorage to otg and it finished with some error and my diicm folder was deleted.
Some time I also face the hang problem! So poco team have to fix this hang problem!
Either something is wrong wid ur sd card or it might miui's issue. Try the same with a different rom

bro i m facing Screen freezing issue?
sometimes its stuck on screen. then the touch screen is stucked. then I have to lock and unlock the device using power button. then the screen is absolutely fine and working good.

Bro i faced the same issue while transferring my files from my class 10 sd card...it took abt 6 hrs to transfer my 52gb data from my sd to my internal memory
This is also a problem with me i transferred my data and it take a hell lot of time but after the Miui 10 update this problem is resolved

poco f1 has a 2.0 usb speed on a usb type-c port... if you are going to get a sd card make sure to get one with faster writes/read speed
Hey bro, just try formatting the SD through the phone itself, then try copying files or videos recorded or shot through the stock camera app. Try using class 10 or higher ones of 64gb or less, cause i have faced hanging issue using 128gb SanDisk ultra sd card in my s7 edge.
I also have faced this issue while transfering files pc to phone.

Hope they fixed that. But now im watching this video on my poco 😋 . And so far no prob. I dont use sd card though.
Install Solid Explorer or set your camera app to save to microSD by default. If you are transferring to computer eventually, why not just transfer via WiFi using an app such as Airdroid?
Have you tryed any other file mangers for the transfer?

Me too man. I faced the same issue in addition to the scree bleeding. And pubg issue. You no unrealistic behaviour of the pointer. I got a replacement and the second unit also had the screen bleeding issue but fortunately the file transferring issue was not found. Now I had the pleasure to return it. And I did. I ordered the zenfone 5z in Flipkart's big billion sale. Orderad it for just 24999. But still not received it. The poco f1 was of 128gb varient.
How much time does flipkart allow us to return the product? I have never purchased anything from flipkart yet so i am not aware about it.
And how bad was the screen bleeding issue? Was it visible at all times?
Why cant you try with another poco mobile.

this issue is there, as far as I have seen, with Xiaomi Redmi note 5 too. Screen hangs. The file size was 700 MB (Not even GB) !!! Perhaps problem is with the MIUI interface, may be not with the Android !!
I own this phone, I transfered 5 GB in less than 2 mins.
I can't find the screen time off setting in my pocophone.
The screen won't turn off by itself.
i think this is more on compatibility rather than the phone it self.

The speed issue is because your sd card is wrong formatted and the freeze issue is a thing from Xiaomi, also happens on my Mi Mix 2 Miui 10
