In Starminer you design and build an interstellar mining fleet to strip space of its invaluable minerals, and sell them for a tidy profit. But beware. Your greed may attract unwanted attention. Use warships and defense platforms to protect your fleet at all costs and push back the frontier of space.
In this trailer we introduce you to the fundamentals of building your prospecting fleet, systems and features that go into it. Build small, build big, but always build to maximize your profits. And remember. The void may be vast, but you’re not alone out there.

I would like to see the ability to automate simple actions like returning to a larger ship, finding and mining asteroids, or defending other ships.
I think it would be cool to be a carrier ship that releases a swarm of automation mining bots
Game looks amazing as is, but co-op or 2-4 player multi. 🙏 Would be awesome to have it so one person was research, one weapons, one transport and one mining, or any of the combinations.

I really hope you will allow us to start games (or a game mode) with bare minimum. the smallest mini ship of mining. and let us build an mining empire from that. I don't love it when you start with 3 ships and a stations already.
Also i would love to see more about in game research. Also i wonder if this game has a trade or transportation mechanic. where we get to figure out which AI station or faction would give the best reward for certain minerals. and let us set up the trade/transport for that.

If I had a nickel for every game about mining and building your own custom ships in 2024, I'd have two nickels.
Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

We purposely didn't dive *too* deep with this trailer and Dev Diary on Steam. There is more to go into, and we'll show you more for sure in the coming months!

@starminergame I played the pre-alpha playtest and would love to review the game again, is there any option to participate in the next open/closed playtest?
PS. I still play it from time to time, the ultimate challenge is stealing my focus form time to time.

This couldn't possibly be yet another low budget, quickly and sloppily made, lazy attempt by Paradox to pre-empt another game coming out, could it? Certainly this doesn't look like a carbon copy of Era One by the Homeworld Complex devs, hmm?
