Dundee United 3-0 Dundee, 19/08/2012

Dundee United took the spoils in the first Dundee derby of the SPL season as they beat their city rivals 3-0 in a fiery encounter at Tannadice. Johnny Russell scored twice but was later sent off along with Dundee's Stephen O'Donnell following a second half clash. Gavin Gunning had opened the scoring for United after he capitalised on poor defending.

Huddersfield scouts were up watching him in this one,along with many others.It might mean that Rhodes is leaving for a EPL club.Russell is some player,have always rated him.If he left I would like to think that he was also good enough to find a EPL club.Clarke at WBA would be a great place for him to play football.WBA signed young Allan last year,who was loaned to Portsmouth.And played centre midfield,and looked good in there.So many good players coming through now for us,at all the clubs.

Russell didn't deserve a red card; he only should have been shown yellow. The Dundee guy making the rough tackle on Russell definitely deserved a red card.
