What a great video. Love the humour mixed with the dark feel via cemetery and gas mask visuals. Unfortunately all that was stripped away when the mainstream music business took them by the hand and ripped out their hearts [only joking] and made them very rich lol.

My hands down favorite was this album, with this & Ti Na Na being my fave rave tuneages. Decidedly darker in tone it provided some seriously addictive hooks! I won't rip them for slicking up & taking their shot at the big brass ring. But THIS is the real Huang Chung...thanks for sharing!

This band is very underated,. This LP was and is still amazing. I had the privilege to see them whilst on a short trip to Edinburgh from London. The name of the venue evades me but I seen them as this formation back in my own band heyday. After the gig, I met and hung out with them. Immediately after returning to London I ran to the shop and purchased the LP which I stll treasure. These guys are all really very nice warm individuals with loads of talent. When I came bk to the states I told everyone about this fantastic new band I've seen and befriended in the UK. Shortly thereafter they became music history.
What's really amazing is that I knew they would reach stardom because their talent is impeccable.

These guys need to get back for music's sake music is dying all the crap that's around these were the days when music was actually good well more than good life changing excellent inspiring in so many ways.

THANKS FOR SHARING!! Had to be fun man...and too cool being on the ground floor of the boys and New Wave in general...THANKS FOR SHARING!!! Loved "To LIve & Die In LA" but THIS album was my hands down absolute FAVORITE! Songs like this or Ti Na Na, Love You IN A Half Hearted Way, all deliciously dark & moody & endlessly interesting!

There was a Huang Chung music video?!
How come NO ONE has documented all of their music videos? I had no idea fire in the twilight existed, let alone this!
Also, great song. I love the Huang Chung album. Both the version with and without dance hall days.

Also I have to comment on the great music video mix.
Also the appearance of David Burnand, who left very shortly after Huang Chung (the album)

It's a tremendous advantage to get the original maker to post it! This is a true gem.

Ah the wonders of RUclips, being able to see some Huang Chung era Wang Chung. As low budget as the chroma key is on this video, it really is no worse than some of the videos that were appearing on MTV in 1981.

The best band in my opinion of the 80's they had everything i'm pleased the americans saw it but the brits didn't

Their first lp was, for me, the best of the 80's, apart from 4th Drawer Down by the Associates.

@jamesyireland They only had 1 top 75 hit in the UK with Dance Hall Days (No 21) they should have been huge, the album this is off is fantastic, had the CD for ages.

This is a different version than the Huang Chung LP. They had a sax player named Hogg or something.
