Larry.. JJ was under Bishop JC White of Bridgeport Connecticut for many years, and his wife is one of Bishops daughters Who is first cousin to Monique Williams (Walker) Heziciah Walkers ex Wife..
I know because they are my first cousins..
So I am almost sure, there is a different dynamic to why Jj and his church ended. I Do understand your theory on the post kinda looking wrong the way it was looking..

Sorry for such a long response in regards to the ANWA conversation; Just a few thoughts to consider.
How do we know what the agreements between each leader was, and if the board of the church/organization was or wasn’t involved? What if there were bylaws and/or agreements that allowed for these leaders to make the decisions to leave the Anwa organization? Maybe NDAs were signed that wouldn’t allow for those involved or on staff to speak about things relating to what was going on. Yes. There are some Pastors that require their staff to sign an NDA.
(I’m not a part of the organization but I’ve worked in ministry for a number of years and have seen quite a bit .)
When we talk about honor we somehow bypass the fact that our honor and obedience is to God first in all things. What if there were legitimate grounds for those leaders/partners to leave the organization?
I’m sure that each of these leaders ( and the others) tried their hardest to stay and that it was very hard for them to move on. We have to understand that we have to set boundaries with our church, with Pastors/leaders, and do what is healthy and honorable to God even if it means we cannot stay around or be a part anymore. Many of these leaders haven’t even given a side or their reason for leaving at all and honestly it’s noone’s business. Honestly, the fact that these leaders did not come out and dishonor publicly, but instead gave honor in their departure as well as publicly, speaks of their integrity, and their honor for Dr. Stevenson. Of course, pastoral leadership can be very difficult. Sometimes you will face betrayal, or what you choose to define as betrayal. It’s not betrayal if members/staff leave your church. This is why some people call the church a Cult. Some people develop a soul tie with church leaders and neglect what God told them altogether. It’s true that these former leaders of Anwa were sharpened and further equipped while they were a part of the organization but isn’t that what the Bible says should happen when we attend church? Sharpening and equipping is the purpose of the 5 fold right? So how can one take ownership of or think they have legal right to a person because they became greater than they were before? The truth is there are times when staff/members are choosing to leave, some pastors make it hard for them to leave . Often times people don’t leave a church/position because of the narrative that could be given about them. The human response of the pastor is to think the person is abandoning you, rejecting you or betraying you. And because of that, some leaders dishonor the person behind closed doors, they’d even say “God didn’t tell me it’s time for you to leave, “ all while expecting the person to stay out of lethal loyalty. Even if they benefited from Anwa, they served their purpose. Anwa benefited from them also because they were pastors before joining the organization. To be honest I’m sure they brought people to the ministry who may still be there. And praise God for that as well. We have to be honest here, just because the pastor/leader doesn’t agree with you leaving , doesn’t make it dishonor. And as long as these men/women of God are obedient to God, including Dr. Stevenson, they will all prosper. They are God’s people. They all may even end up in fellowship again one day.🙏🏾

Good observation, I can only speak for a particular pastor because I actually attended an anwa church for several years. I can tell you that the church I joined was getting ready to close until they became an anwa church. That’s when we joined along with many other people. During that time, the pastor was ride or die for Dr. Stevenson. It was ANWA for life. They dropped everything for that man. He’s gifted but I thought it was a little too much. as someone who’s older than the demographic of millennials. I was promoted very fast but was burnt out because we were expected to be at church all the time and over 5 hours on Sundays. The church is no longer anwa but they definitely got clout from being under that name. So to me it’s surprising how one minute they were all about ANWA, my spiritual daddy this and that, then leaving after a few years. They called it a ‘shift’. Smh

@@jwilliams7554 Oh my 😮 That sounds like one of the young ANWA Campus Pastors, which the majority of them are/were. There is a very valid reason why there has been a mass exodus of ANWA Campus Pastors. If your Pastor didn't publicly announce the reason; then I commend him for choosing to cover and honor the Stevensons.

@@ms.j.2961 don’t assume the pastor was young, or a man IJS And I no longer attended that church when they left anwa, so I don’t know if there was a meeting explaining the true reason for leaving

No! Don't talk about "Alabaster Box" that's one of my favorite Cece songs. Blame it on my white genes but I understand that song and can relate. Before you judge, my gene pool goes back to Benin/Togo, Nigeria, Cameron/Congo and Senegal and I have the genetic test to prove it. Be that as it may, I love all kinds of music and appreciate whatever touches my soul. Intiway! Larry, your commentary on the music industry is quite enlightening. And you calling Kirk Franklin and others on this live to confirm what you're saying, that's receipts. It seems to me that one of the problems stems from not having the proper legal council to negotiate the contract. Also, the ability to see further down the road at royalties and profits for years to come based on your talent and creativity needs to be considered in such deals. I agree wholeheartedly with the notion of you becoming a coach/manager to those coming up in the industry to help them make better financial decisions in regards to their career. And the ones already in it to make better decisions going forward. Then, there's the other issue of distribution which I'm sure is a factor in some artists decision to sign with certain labels. John P. Kee was with Verity for 18 years. Good to know he has his own label. I see his work for sale on Amazon too. I am late to the party. On that note I see he has recovered from a flesh eating disease (necrotizing fasciitis). Praise God! My pastor also suffered from that years ago. That is no joke.
