Ringing at Corpus Christi, Clifton, Notts

  • Tiny six in this RC church in Nottinghamshire, tenor 2-2-11 in E. They were transferred from St Francis, Clifton when that church was closed and demolished. They are rather fun!

    Is it just me or are there some very weird acoustics/harmonics going on here? I rang them when they were in St Francis, that building was in a dire state! Need to visit for the re-grab!

      I believe they were only there 8 years which begs the question why did they bother! Personally I thought they sounded pretty good. It's an odd-shape tower and the bells are hung pretty much directly above the baptistery ceiling.

      @@timmeh1507 treble and 5th are hayward mills associates 2nd 4th and tenor john taylor 3rd taylors eyare and smith 3 of the bells are from 2000

      yes, rung here about a year ago and instantly thought the treble was cracked, sounds very odd🤔🤔

    I was thinking about these and the other Clifton towers earlier today, not only did a QP appear at St Mary's, but now also a new video of these! Very strange.
