Ramadan Mubarak! With the month of Ramadan going on, the market of Shaheen Bagh is ablaze with beautiful lighting and decorations. It is filled with the delicious aroma of food, and beautifully dressed people can be seen enjoying, gossiping, and having fun during the festival. People visit the market in the evening to break their fast during Iftar and to have food during Sehri before starting the fast for the day.
There are many outlets that sell a lot of non-vegetarian and vegetarian delicacies. The place is truly a foodie’s paradise! Some shops sell different types of dates, dry fruits, vermicelli, clothes, perfumes, etc.
To dive into the food all around, we started our food journey for the evening with Afghani Samosa and Shawarma. The keema was delicious and the sauces it was served with, tasted amazing!
Then we had nihari and mutton kebabs from the restaurant Jawed Famous Nihari. Nihari was melting-in-mouth and delicious. However, the kebabs were not very juicy and very spicy.
Thereafter, we had Rabri from Cool Point and this is something I would recommend everyone to have. It was one of the best rabris we have had.
After having so much food, I had Persian tea from Shayari Cafe. It had basil seeds and pineapple pieces in it. This was my first-time with Persian tea and I am now gonna have it whenever I can find it! It was just so refreshing and soothing. Jasveet didn't have the tea, but chose to have Goli soda, which he also found very refreshing.

Mam u eat a lot of non veg right ?
I like non vegetarian food. So, whenever we travel and try new dishes, I prefer tasting non veg items rather than veg. So, it's not about eating too much but trying little of everything ☺️
