Super cool build! Where do you buy your glass?
Thank you, from any glass workshop.
Check this last build before fiew days ruclips.net/video/HMWDEB1BF4Y/видео.html
Hi , excellent
Thank you
Nice!
you was going into great detail till the end when you was adding the sides.... wish you would show it step by step for that as well.
love the video and agree with the above
Absolutely! Great video. Had to watch some parts a few times to realize he put black silicone on the edges.
The best video to built a aquarium. BRAVO!!
Absolutely magnificent! I’ve never seen it build like that. I was wondering where did you buy the glass and the side metals?
I have sat from about 9.30am to 18.45pm researching building large fish tank and was about to give up frustrated !!! then found this . Best video on RUclips, brilliant mate I’ll be following this one ☝️👍
Check this too

How did it go?
Excellent work sir that inspire me, thank you and big HELLO to the kid.
Thank you
Best i've seen so far using all glass. Great job dude!!!
Awesome tank! Would like to build my own 100 gallon one day as the price for store bought ones are ridiculous.
Saba789 try Craigslist I've seen people selling fully functioning 200 gals with niiiice stands for $2-300 simply because they were too big for their house or they moved away from the hobby! I bought a 60 gal for $55 for a hamster three years ago, she passed away a couple weeks back so now I'm setting up a goldfish tank 🤗🤗
wow great build and what's better then knowing you built and designed it yourself.
Designing it by yourself is always satisfying your heart, Thanks for your nice comment and watching!
Nice build. Baby girl has a swimming pool now
Thanks for watching!
I feel like I'm playing the sims with this music.
+Erik Cox :)
Edit: Hi ☺
Thank you for making this video. I'm building an terrestrial-aquarium that's going to be roughly 2ft wide by 14ft long (with varying height) and this is really going to help.
I am happy to see this helps a lot of people, good luck!
Which silicone sealant u used?
Awesome.
Thank you
I like the way you think outside the box
Thank you
this is the strongest glass in the world
Thank you for watching
Hi! ✌🏽, nice video, you make this looks easy, good job 👍🏽
Like the double pane for bottom, no need to euro-brace bottom 👍. Hi to baby girl, Dori and Nemo has new home now 🙂🙂🙂
Thank you
nice build and a very cute little baby
Thanks Muhammad
Hello Baby girl ... your DAD is awesome ..... and your dad has build a very neat and beautiful aquarium ....
Thank you :)
Super
Which glass is better to make bigger aquarium-- polished glass or non polished glass???
Good
Hello to your sweet daughter! Great job on the tank. I will be saving this for future reference for our tank build.
+Makeup Addict Hello to you, I am glad to hear that, thanks for watching :)
Omg I watched this and couldn't close my mouth ... you did a fantastic job .... so when you coming to my house to create me a fish tank hahaha excellent job 👏👏👏
+PsychedelicBabe I am ready right now just waiting the invitation hahaha
Thanks for watching and the lovely comment 😍
Hahaha that sounds tempting and I bet making your own tank is a whole lot cheaper than buying one ... here in the uk fish tanks are ridiculously priced and I mean ridiculous for example a tank this size you would pay a good £300 I paid £359 for a 65 gallon tank ....
+PsychedelicBabe yah this almost every where!
I remember that my last 65g was cost me 400$. In addition to that your own tank build satisfy your needs exactly and complete your home interior design
Exactly you can have it the way YOU want it and not the way some crappy manufacturer has made .... this was a very inspiring video and I know one day I will attempt to make my own even if it's only a 10 gallon I will eventually try it .... who knows maybe in the near future I'll be building one on your standard I especially liked the double glass bottom and the steel to reinforce it all .... 🤗🤗 you got my thumbs up for sure
PsychedelicBabe you know what we diy freaks say "if it's not cheap and not how you like it then you make it cheap and how you like it"
Great video I would have used corner clams but that’s just me. Say hi to your daughter from me so cute. Take care and enjoy
Thanks for your support and watching :)
hi very nice
Thanks
Hello beautiful angel........ Very Nice Aquarium...... with strong base build.... Great work.
Thank you
Hi, Daughter!
Very helpful.
Questions:
How did you reach inside down to the bottom and smooth the silicone, then seal it?
How did you bind the corners of the stainless steel together?
video #2 ?
Great Smart Work
Amaze
Thank you.
Check this build too please.

More of a channel then a tunnel
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
+Gabriela Angelina your are welcome, thanks for watching
Wonderful
Beautiful piece of work. I admire you skills. And yes I would like to say Hello to your daughter.... :-)
Thank you
Thank for your video
Thanks for sharing
Thanks
Nice bro, good video!
Thanks
good job the extra silicone makes the glass walls of the fish tank extra durable and the seems will probably last longer too great job.
+guilty grammer Thanks for watching
Hi to you daughter... I loved this video.. thank you !
Thank you
Ccgreat job thanks for sharing and greatings to the beautyfull princes. Cheeeers !
Thanks for watching
Great, but the sides, did know if you had to do same thing as the bottom
You can put braces on the top to support, depends on the tank size.
Thanks for your comments
Hi! I love this! I want to make a new tank for my school so we can get a freshwater ray. :) Totally going to do this!
+Cyndi Dickerson Thanks
Did you end up doing this?
Nice! Hi
Thank you
Nice work - would have added a fill test because success of any DYI tank is does it hold water for 24-hrs, but nice work and hello to the kiddo! 😊
Of course, here is the test

Hi, young Princess 😍
wow it is cool
Thank you
Lovely..
Thank you
What silicone did you use on yhe sides. The black one. Is therr special type
I used GP silicone for general purposes
Good work bro
Thanks
I missed where you put the silicone seal on the sides. Was it prior to setting the sides in the "tunnel" or after? It looked like you may have had the silicone beaded prior to setting them in, hard to tell.
Yes exactly prior putting the first side panel
Very good bottom support. Nice to have such skills from u. I will do that for my tank too, and I will also provide top mid support for that.
+Yogesh Sakhare yah, this will be good also, thanks for watching and comments
hai good idea i really enjoyed DIY
Thank you
Hi,
nice video dear, what type of silicone was used for this project?
GE 100% black for windows & doors, thanks for watching
Nice info new.sub
You are welcome. Thank you
Just use acrylic glass... And by the way this aquarium in video will crack at the the center of the bottom when filled with water because there is a space of air between the glass and the surface on which aquarium stands because of steel by the perimeter of the bottom of aquarium.
Did you saw the other videos for testing and cycling the tank?
@@ReefAmorous No I did not see. But this is simple physics, this glass will burst sooner or later, and it’s bad if at the most unexpected moment. Or do you want to say that you made a substrate under the glass between the steel corners? If there is a substrate, then it may not burst.
amazing job!
Thank you 👍
thanks for the vid... hello to the kid!!
Thank you
Hi very nice!
Thanks
I was wondering if having the air pockets in the bottom glass could lead to a potental break in the bottom glass? Would t you want to roll the adhesive on the entire bottom portion of the glass so there were no pockets of air where the adhesive didnt cover?
Nice job love the build
Lots of questions like what is that stainless steel where do you get it from did you put something on the edges after you were done siliconing? Looks like it's black.
Stainless from doors and windows shops
It's black silicone, nothing eless
Yeah I’m searching fir this stainless steel birder or edge but I can’t find it. I really like to know the source.
Hi
Awesome build
Thank you
for the bottom layer.. why don't you use acrylic. lighter and more crack resistant
Extremely strong and extremely heavy too😜😜
Not too much
What about the stainless? Where did you get that, and did you cut it yourself? I'm sure the cuts had to be very precise to make everything come together so nicely.
You can buy it from any steel shop of manufacture, you can request the needed lengths and cut it by 45 degrees
good job ............
Thank you
the tank was pleanty strong without the stainless
interesting build. Gluing two pieces together seems odd when a 12mm piece would work fine .
Silicone bonds better to glass than it does to stainless steel, so i dont believe that it is a better joint.
i have worked with aquariums my whole life, and have never seen this method before. i would advise caution if building a tank this way!
two pieces together makes 90 angle degree, the silicon bonds with two edges with walls
the stainless steel makes extra support from out side and it's not related to joint the glasses together.
Thanks for watching
why not use 12mm tempered glass. gets the same strong bottom. reinforce with cross braces, to hold the atmospheric pressure.
Yeah i wonder if the pieces of metal on the underside are not more of a problem them a help. dow he does has 2 layers , but the whole underside is just floating instead of resting on what ever surface you put it on
@@febeomnibeepboop6367 That's how nearly every single tank I have ever seen is. Resting the tank itself on the glass is asking for trouble. Almost always I see a base that is what the tank rests on. If extra support is needed it is braced. Otherwise the perimeter is sufficient.
@@Luckingsworth Really?, other then a uneven surface or things like rocks on the stance would make you think that that is counter intuitive. I guess the smallest little unseen bump could cause a failure,
Thanks
How much deflection is there in your long panels when the tank is filled? Without eurobracing, I assume this thing is flexing quite a bit.
yeah sure, I did this later
Thanks for your comments
nice job
Thank you
When did you apply the black silicone? Must not been part of the video.
I've made an aquarium like this but using 19mm extra clear tempered glass but without steel bracings at the bottom rather on the top. It made the tank extremely heavy though but it's worth it.
19mm it's normal to be heavy
Cool video dude!
Wow amazing job. Is there a way one can fix a tap below just incase you wanna drain water.....
the second sheet of glass you add to the bottoms its seem you just add more thickness wall to the bottom that means 10mm+10 mm =20 mm for bottom thickness, but there is good way to use ring strips support under the bottom it can be glass or wood or steel doesn't matter for example if you using 4 rings every 30 cm now your bottoms = L1+L2+L3+L4 means every L = 30 cm of length witch can resist pressure 4 time then your design and not this much cost
+Ahmed Abdul Azim yes true
Which brand silicone sealant sir... Can u mention that?
I uses more than one brand Bison but I think in this built it was GP
hi very good you made it look so easy
+Patricia Kloeppel thank you
The black on the edges is that black silicone?
Yes
Are the walls siliconed together? Cant tell
Yes of course
I have a question.. when you are fitting the sides on.. I did not see you putting any silicone on the edges of the sides before butting them together.. evidently you must have to..and also... what is the brand name of the silicone tube that you are using? or is it just average silicone? thx
Yes sure I added the silicon, in this video it was GP silicone
Check this video too
ruclips.net/video/HMWDEB1BF4Y/видео.html
great work
Thank you Nazim
Nice job, I wanna build my own one day.
Yah, it's always worth to try by yourself
Thanks for watching!
@ReefAmorous : This is the best video I have seen so far!
Others using injection method or with sides glued to outside edge of bottom look weak..
WELL DONE.
I just wanna know, Where did you get that locking cabinet/stand !?
Hand made, see its DIY video on my channel as well ruclips.net/video/krvCwyoIi2o/видео.html
Looking to build a 125. I want to use this style, but I want to put braces for two tank lids...suggestions?
Yes it will be better, my advice to not make it deep like my tank its hard when you need to do maintenance or cleaning
I would love to do it but to do all my bed room wall
hi what did u use for the trim
Steel cutter
i like your idea use stainless steel, make it strong. thank you very much for the idea.
+ucok aj thanks, you are welcome
Great work! My girls love the tank too!
You are welcome!
Love the video. Where did you get the stainless steel from?
Any shop works for windows and doors
What kind of black silicone did you use ?
Hi for the little one! and great video. I've been considering building my own tank and I'll definitely come back to this when I'm ready.
Thank you, you can watch this too if you want to
