    Noels melodic fills are incredible. So subtle, but videos like this really prove how talented he is.

      100%! His ear for melody was/is incredible. So many details in his songwriting and they all serve the song perfectly.

    Man, these Oasis videos are killer. I knew the song but didn’t know all the little fills in the outro and throughout. A big thank u from this Texas boy and huge Oasis fan.

    It's funny how people clown on Oasis for songs like wonderwall, when half their stuff is pretty damn complex and well written. Sure it's not the most TECHNICAL playing out there.. but nobody strings together those rich chords like Noel. They are often nice variations of regular chords that you dont hear often too.

      Noel is great at the most important part: creating great songs and melodies. That's more valuable than any extreme technical prowess.

    He (Noel) certainly knew how to squeeze all the juice from the fruit. Most of their stuff was just noodling in the pentatonic for fills and none of it complex like say Mark Knopfler. It’s super catchy and I remember well that on hearing each song for the first time back in the 90s, we felt as if we already knew the song as we listened. So maybe a bit predictable, but we also felt as if the songs kinda belonged to us.
    Anyway, with this new ‘25 tour, we’re all gonna hear a lot more from Oasis and their ‘better than the Beatles’ BS.
    Now Graham Coxon, he was my favourite britpop guitarist, ahead of Bernard Butler.
    There were so many lesser known bands around the 90s too that were so so good. Makes me want to find my old Shine On CDs

    Were you using Amplitube 5 in this recording?

    • @SparkyGuitar
      @SparkyGuitar  Год назад

      Hi - actually, this is an old one so I used Guitar Rig 5 - but easy enough to create in Amplitube (that's why I put screenshots of the presets on sparkyguitar.com for Patreon supporters). Both guitars are a blend of JCM800 and Orange amps with a little reverb. Plus - a Tube Screamer for Noel’s solo. Hope that helps.

    Am I the only one that has major tuning issues when playing with these tab videos?

    • @SparkyGuitar
      @SparkyGuitar  3 года назад +9

      Hi there - tuning details are always in the description under the video. I am playing along with the original recording... which are often not in standard (A=440Hz) tuning. So - to match the actual recording you'll need to change your tuner calibration. This song is an extreme one - where they clearly recorded the song at standard pitch and then sped the tape up (till it sounded right). That makes it a nightmare to play along to... unless you know what to adjust your tuner to. Almost all tuners allow you to change the reference pitch up or down... and it's easy once you done it a couple of times. Hope that helps!

    • @gomezthechimp1116
      @gomezthechimp1116 2 года назад

      you have to tune your guitar to around a 1/2 step sharp to play along with the original recording.

    • @M81_WOODLAND
      @M81_WOODLAND Год назад

      You can also get software that can change the pitch or the tempo of the song. I use this a lot because retuning your guitar to match the record can get old after a while.
