    I love FL Studio for making beats...only wished they could bring a better sequencer in to lay down audio tracks...the ideal hybrid would be FL Studio and Reaper or Sonar

    In what cases should you make the entire song in the piano roll? I've tried making my songs in separate patterns and using the playlist, but I find that I can glue things together better by using one pattern. Is it wrong to work that way or am I missing something by not building a track in the more traditional way?

    Random question question, how do I make alternate hertz frequencies ? I want to have my 440hz for all things public or professional( because I know the industry follows the change made decades before our time), yet I want to drop all of my personal music to 432hz. Love your work and dedication btw been learning from you since like 2016, can hardly believe I wasn't already subbed on channel before the other day

      @IIOIIAIIIE 3 месяца назад +1

      You can't set up a different tuning system in FL directly, but I guess some plugin could help. For instance, in Serum you can tune your A between 430 and 450 Hz.
      p.s.
      432 Hz is not a magical frequency, and using different tunings doesn't improve anything. Every 'imperfection' of the equal temperament will be present in any tuning. Try to google 'just intonation'.

    • @robrown8577
      @robrown8577 3 месяца назад

      @@IIOIIAIIIE Thanks man, it's not so much for any magical frequency, moreso just listening to whatever I listen to in the closest to naturally tuned frequency possible according to some things that have been changed and made 'the standard' for us all without boring you with the 'why'.

    • @IIOIIAIIIE
      @IIOIIAIIIE 3 месяца назад +1

      @@robrown8577 I can see that. I also think sound has a deep impact on our bodies and our psyche and I will definitely experiment with 'natural sounding' music, but again, there's basically no difference between 440 Hz and 432 Hz in an Equal Temperament (12-TET) system. Some harmonics may be closer to natural sequence (I doubt anyway), but others won't and there will always be degree of 'detuning'. That's what you get from being able to play different keys on the same instrument, without having to tune it for every key. The natural sequence (Just Intonation) is really simple: every harmonic is a whole number multiple of the fundamental tone, or key. If you ever heard any difference between 432 Hz and 440 Hz tunings, I would say it's kind of the same difference between a C major and a C# major.
      Btw, you could also use a good spectral analyser/tuner and play with cents (semitone subdivision) and tune your notes to the frequency you want.

    No, no, no! They should have midi fx and the automation that you can put into a instrument, reinventing the wheel is no way to go at this point of time. Time for automation boys, they update all the time, just do it! That daw is way too nested, I want it on top not somewhere in the middle of the dam universe! Sounds good but the worst work flow on the market! I want to jam without doing the engineers job for them!
