getting 30 mpg on the highway with this. the ISG adds 30 torque which is about what the old supercharger added, making the turbo lag much less of an issue. it's got plenty of acceleration for everyday usage.

I rented one of these (B5 version) at London Heathrow. I can't tell - is it a hybrid? The display shows a battery charging/discharging as you drive, but there is no feedback or other indication how the battery is used
just got my self b5, becasue like you say , now I need a family car.
This still a good first used Volvo XC90 to buy.

Another dealer my husband I went to is selling this exact Volvo same features for 64,876.00 my husband gets discounts with all vehicles which is $4000 off. We told them we will think about it and seeing this price which is $2000 less from the MSRP at the dealer we went to, I’ll call and let them know we will shop around. Even with our discount I don’t want to pay for over MSRP not good. Good thing I came across this video.

0-60 in about 9 seconds, very underwhelming, but like you said probably just fine for a baby hauler. B5 should be more reliable in theory, since it's less complex being solely turbo (not the turbocharged and supercharged setup in the B6). We'll consider a CPO one for the wife in the $35-40k range when her current lease is up.
