I didn’t either of these breeds but I had a dog whose mother was a German shepherd and father was a silver north American wolf. He was extremely loyal, absolutely brilliant and also loving. He was an amazing dog. A true escape artist and I couldn’t get him inside when it snowed. He would stay outside day and night. He weighed about 85 pounds and was very tall. He was the best dog on the planet.
Really appreciate your channel. I have a Czech Wolfie now. Had another one some time back. Both were rescued from shelters. Your videos are so accurate. These dogs are escape artists, food motivated, smart. But, best dogs I ever had.
I had Czechoslovakian Wolfdog for almost 14 years. Trust me here in czech republic, Wolfdogs are much more bigger than is described. Mine was first born male And was nearly 2times bigger than his brothers. At his best age he was about 75cm in height And nearly 70kg. He was huge And dominant. Very kind to family members even small Child, And very good Guard dog. And absolutely healthy.
@@大火-q7h I mean it is possible but only if he is overweight. 70kg dog would never pass the bonitation nor 40km endurance test. 40 kg is just about right with 70 cm height.
We have a mix of Czechoslovakian and Saarloos Wolfdog. She is a fabulous girl. She cannot be alone and she chews on everything if she is not supervised. She is very good with other dogs and very nice to people.
Thank you, never heard of Saarloos. I love their appearance but have huge respect before their excercise needs so will never own one. Hopefully getting a GSD next year though.
very good veideo about 2 dog breeds ive always been excited about but know that i probably wont grow any of them. one of my dog training teachers has czechoslovakian wolf dog mixed with an israeli wolf. she is a very hard dog to grow but amazing creature! thank you for the great video!
Can you do a few more comparisons between the tamaskan and northern Inuit dog, American Indian dog and blue bay shepherd, American Alsatian and wolamute or between any of this breeds please....??? Thanks for the hard work much support from from a subscriber 👍👍
These aren't breeds, they're just crosses with no consistent temperaments, aside from the Blue Bay being the closest. You can't compare dogs that aren't uniform.
@@skyforgerpack3645 I know, I’m just interested on seeing the characteristics of different dogs crossed with wolf blood or bred to make them look like wolves
I contacted a breeder of Czechoslovakian wolf dog to ask if they were suited as a service dog for a person with ptsd and was told that they were absolutely NOT suited for this purpose as they are not people pleasers 🤷🏼♀️
They will attack if fear is shown I had to never go outside when one of my old neighbours went for a walk with his and he wouldn't let anybody near it but it you raise it from earlier stages than when you'd get a normal puppy

Hi, good video but I spot two innacuracies: First, while CsV was bred for the army and indeed used for border patrol as an experiment, they never really proved themselves being ideal for this job, due to their loyalty to one handler as well as more dificult training compared to GSD. Second, 30kg limit is misleading, CsV does not have an upper limit for weight and height and 70+cm tall individuals with 45+kg are very common these days.
@@Rocadog Yep mine is 56kg and no he isn't fat he is simply that much bigger than average CSV. BTW that border patrol experiment leaves them with a bit of bad reputation in Czech republic. I've heard countless variations of "Your dog is a killer breed which was used to hunt innocent people that just wanted out of communist country." (mostly from older folks)
The Saarloos Wolfdog is my breed since 15 years. I love the character of these generous dogs. I find it important to say, that the most wolfdogs can't stay alone. They escape, or destroy or howl because they want to be together with their owner. This is NOT trainable. Most people fail on exactly this problem.
@@zaccllewellyn8950 no, they aren't. The Saarloos Wolfdog has nothing to do with a Husky. These breeds are totally different in character and exterior.
What is your experience with the Saarloos Wolfdog or Czechoslovakian Wolfdog?

ČsV je väčší ako to čo popisuje vo videu, ale 70kg ? Tak tomu sa mi nechce veriť. Má papiere? Ak áno tak ako sa volá podľa rodokmeňa?
my 1.5 year old Czechoslovakian wolfdog is 70cm in height and 38 kg in weight. i am just wondering can he grow bigger?
