They're so cute. They sang live. It is heard that there are words with autotune in the minus. They actually performed most of the song live. And with such an active dance, they sounded very good.
Every time le sserafim performs they dance really really strong and well, which makes them one of the best kpop group in terms of dancing, but dancing really strong makes their vocals shaky and unstable. And this performance just shows the fact that if they just focused on their vocals and minimize their dancing, they can also sing pretty well.
That’s the worst thing to happen I love their wild dancing. I think they shouldn’t give up on making good dancing performances. NOT all their fans criticized the vocals. I hope they can keep doing the good dances for those who truly love them

i believe there's autone and a backing track but only in like 10% of the song (if you listen very closely at the end of kazuha's first line the sound of her voice suddenly changes) However I believe like 90% of the song is still fully live, and I don't think there's a single part with lip singing
these arent raw vocals. They are singing "live" but they did at least some pitch correction in post. That's not to say they are bad singers, but you should really be able to tell.

They are a breath of fresh air , I love there chilled laid back vibe and have such good songs. These girls are not bad singers , they should not be judged by one video where they weren't maybe at there particular best. I’m so glad they can sing live. I had just started listening to them when they went viral for bad vocals but they sound great here and they’re live. I think their choreography was just too hard to dance and sing to. Makes sense. Wish them much success!

A lot of mean people in these comments have made me realize people are way to quick to judge. the Coachella performance and the encore are the only things they choose to acknowledge they refuse to see improvement from the girls out of fear that they won’t have anything to hate on anymore. Some of koreans keep commenting about hearing mechanical sounds at back ground. Those sounds are part of the song. Smart song was created with those mechanical sounds effect. Have them even not heard smart song from CD?
They do have a little bit on playback that sounds metallic-y and rely on it at the end of their lines (especially noticeable with Kazuha). I do think that this is 100% understandable for any K-pop performer, because holding a long note with your lower-medium register while dancing sounds really difficult and unreliable. That doesn't take away from their improvements. I feel bad for the girls because they obviously just needed some kind of mentoring to guide them. Nobody was ever glaringly off-pitch or lacking timing in ways that other idols have displayed before, it just feels like they beneficiated from exterior advice for their dancing, but never their singing. That should've been part of their comeback preparations from the beginning.

I’m so glad they can sing live. I had just started listening to them when they went viral for bad vocals but they sound great here and they’re live. I think their choreography was just too hard to dance and sing to. Makes sense. Wish them much success!

A lot of mean people in these comments have made me realize people are way to quick to judge. the Coachella performance and the encore are the only things they choose to acknowledge they refuse to see improvement from the girls out of fear that they won’t have anything to hate on anymore. Some of koreans keep commenting about hearing mechanical sounds at back ground. Those sounds are part of the song. Smart song was created with those mechanical sounds effect. Have them even not heard smart song from CD?
They love to hate on literally everything, they're so miserable
They do have a little bit on playback that sounds metallic-y and rely on it at the end of their lines (especially noticeable with Kazuha). I do think that this is 100% understandable for any K-pop performer, because holding a long note with your lower-medium register while dancing sounds really difficult and unreliable. That doesn't take away from their improvements. I feel bad for the girls because they obviously just needed some kind of mentoring to guide them. Nobody was ever glaringly off-pitch or lacking timing in ways that other idols have displayed before, it just feels like they beneficiated from exterior advice for their dancing, but never their singing. That should've been part of their comeback preparations from the beginning.
