Thank you for your joyful reaction to Forestella again! This was their first performance at Immortal Songs 2. Before telling about the song, I think I need to explain about the shows first. There are 2 important TV shows for Forestella. Obviously Phantom Singer 2 would be the 1st one as the audition show where made Forestella. JTBC designed it to make a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. Through that survival audition the participants had solo showcase first and competition like 1:1, duet vs duet, trio round, quartet round with elimination and drafting in between. And there was random quartet round as well. 3 finalists groups competed and Forestella is the winner group in Phantom Singer 2. But the problem is JTBC isn't releasing the clips abroad. It's a big pity that there are so many great performances I wanna shout-out to all over the world. Especially Radioactive and la Vita are the Phantom Singer fans' anger trigger as Super Vocal copied the song form and arrangement. (Phantom Singer 2 was aired in 2017 and Super Vocal in 2018 so vice versa is impossible..) Another important show is KBS Immortal Songs 2 - a kind of remake rendition competition show for legendary musicians. Usually someone living legend of Korean music is invited and 6~12 teams compete with rendition of the songs related to the legend. Each episode has a winner by audiences' vote. At each half of the year there's King of the Kings competition. At the King of Kings episode in the end of the year the winners from each episode through the year compete each other with any cover they choose. So in KoK no legend presents. Forestella began to be known to the world with Bohemian Rhapsody from this show. (In the special episode for Queen.) After the Bohemian Rhapsody KBS supported Forestella in many ways so fans even call KBS the true parents (considering JTBC as the biological parents lol).
After their debut they had Phantom Singer 2 (I'll say PS2) gala concert and 1st album tour. The thing is they had only a half year's gap from PS1 and Forestella fandom was not that big at that time. The TV show -Immortal Songs 2 - was like their last chance to maintain the group as Kang HyungHo was taking a leave of absence his research chemist job at that time. Forestella is the most shown group in Immortal Songs 2 of all the PS groups and that changed their fan basis from classical vocal fans to various genres' fans. I am one of the late fans from their Bohemian Rhapsody and seeing the fandom growing.
This song was their first step and now they have unbreakable records like 4 KoK trophies in a row. They practiced so much that they didn't need a click sign for in-ear to start the song..
