गानों के पीछे...पूरी एक कहानी चल रही होती थी...
फिल्म के सिचुएशन पर गाना लिखने से लेकर उसके पर्दे पर आने तक की सारी कवायदें एकदम युद्ध की रणनीति के जैसी होती थीं...
असल में...ये एक अघोषित युद्ध ही होता था...
कौन किससे कितना बेहतर कर सकता है...कौन किसे पछाड़ सकता है...और कौन किससे ज्यादा हुनरमंद है...
और इस युद्ध का फैसला आता था फिल्म फेयर अवार्ड के रूप में...जिसकी शुरूआत हुई थी 1954 से...
1966 में फिल्म फेयर अवार्ड के लिए उस दौर के महान संगीतकारों के बीच एक जबरदस्त युद्ध हुआ था...
सबके पास हथियार के रूप में एक ही तलवार थी...जिसका नाम था मोहम्मद रफी...
संगीतकारों के लिए एक अघोषित चुनौती थी कि रफी साहब की आवाज़ का कौन कितना बेहतर इस्तेमाल कर सकता है...

This was the period when all the people associated with film production considered their work as worship...and there used to be healthy competition among each other...especially regarding songs...
There was a whole story going on behind the songs...
All the efforts from writing the song based on the situation of the film till its coming on screen were like a war strategy...
Actually...it was an undeclared war...
Who can do how much better than whom...who can beat whom...and who is more skilled than whom...
And the decision of this war used to come in the form of Filmfare Awards... which started from 1954...
In 1966, there was a fierce battle between the great composers of that era for the Filmfare Award...
Everyone had only one sword as their weapon...whose name was Mohammad Rafi...
There was an unannounced challenge for the musicians as to who could use Rafi Sahab's voice better...
Obviously, the award was to be given to the one whose music composition was the best...
