- The K20 Civic needed a lot of little cleaning up items... and today it got them!
It is running pretty weird still, we will need to get a tune done but for the most part it is a car again!

Hey Robbie, the "extra" piece of interior is on the tailgate, this is the piece you are looking at when its open, right at the spoiler from the inside.

That chattering sound your clutch makes is your twindisk. It is the middle disk that's floating when you press the pedal. It's supposed to do that :). Some sound worse then others but all twindisk clutches rattle!

That sound when you put the clutch in its the clutch pieces rattling, not the throw out bearing. Welcome to multi-plate clutch life
what about if it rattle when you disengage the clutch? would that be the throwout bearing?
@@siennaslaugh8900 well that's just it, that rattle sound could be the throw out bearing, but it is likely because it's a dual clutch and the clutches will only do that when the clutch pedal is "in" or disengaged. @@SuperBailey sorry I may have worded that incorrectly I mean when the clutch is out because my car does it if the clutch is in it's fine but when I let off I can hear a rattle and I assumed it was my throwout I just wasn't sure
@@siennaslaugh8900 no that's likely a clutch or transmission issue, because when your foot isn't on the clutch pedal the throw out bearing shouldn't be touching the pressure plate
@@SuperBailey Idk I felt like if the bearing isnt making contact it wouldnt be set so if it blown or something it might rattle but lm no expert

Love the progress on the nuggety Civic.
When it comes to 10:57, I simply moved the head unit to the bottom and installed a plate that can hold 3 gages at the top. 10 minute install and no trimming needed cuz both slots are 1 DIN.

In my ek, the gauges are up top where the radio originally sits. I moved that down to the spot just above the cupholder. Maybe an idea if you want the gauges up top!

you can move the radio down there, you get the console out, that piece of plastic gets out with screws and it's pretty much the perfect size left in that frame for a radio. And in the radio place you can put 3 gauges

Did a bit of looking and it turns out the clutch is meant to make that noise because of something called the floater plate which is in between the clutch and flywheel love your channel keep doing what you doing #staycommitted

Honestly my favorite build so clean
The chattering is just a thing that twin disk clutches do. Also sounds like you have a miss fire one one or two cylinders still. Could be tune related but just do another once over and make sure spark and injectors are firing on all cylinders before you run it to much more. Good job man keep it up!!!!

That piece (I think, used to own a corsa lite, very similar shape) is a trim around the door. Like if I remember correctly it's the piece between the window and the door
the only thing that didn't work for Robbie but everyone was so happy that it didn't work was him trying to sell Jasmine
If he tries again he should only be able to sell it to one of us.

Last piece looks like either the bottom door sil, or the top of the rear hatch trim. Above the glass on the inside.

love the fact that you are keeping a full interior. a lot of the civic builds go for the full track car set up and gut them but it looks so much better with all of the seats in!

yoooooooo mine clutch does the same thing in my hatch. If I press the clutch all the way to the floor it grinds and wont go into gear. I just dont press it all the way. brand new clutch, flywheel, pilot bearing and throw out. Mines a B series tho but the clutch has no problems the last 5k miles.

By the way, clutch sounds like you may need a clutch stop. When running a twin disc, especially with these k series, if the pedal engagement is too high, it will over extend and rub on something in the rotating assembly, can’t think of it on the top of my head. I’d give that a try first.

I have the exact same problem but it's when I didn't press the clutch it scrapes the bearing

On the brz to eliminate the gauges you should do a digital dash. There are some really nice but not super expensive ones.
