The fight was so fun but i do notice some big flaws in the Peach Class design, mainly the top armor and the dodging mechanic which make it lose soo hard from the cram. Especially the fact that I never test peach class against gimle before(because it'd be fun to challenge myself to do that) the top armor is like one of the most weakest armor due to myself not really focus on it. the armor is only like 2 meters of metal slope armor(even near the turret). Apparently, I made the design "way way too focused" on absolute frontal without really looking on the other side(the top especially). this kind of frontal design would be too powerful against front facing weapon like railgun or laser(but not parabolic weapons like cram.) in my test, it beat 2 megalodon(rarely). Why i design it like this? I honestly have no idea but it mainly because I tested too much railgun main against the peach class. .w. Second is the dodging mechanic.....it exist but it's very flawed and i give up fixing it. It'd have higher chance of winning if it work. I also have a really slow laptop to play FtD which limit me alot on testing it. (though, it's to do so.) I was surprised that the weapons can deal that much damage, although it wasnt perfect at all. anyway, im so glad that you like the interior ^^ I'll try to make much better designs with less flaws just by learning from this video. thank you!
i think another main flaw is the turrets being too close to each other and the extremely compact design make it even more vurnerable against frags. im honestly surpised that the front nose somehow can stop balista railgun.
Hey @smartdolphin02 welcome to the Ecclesiarchy of the empire! Brave to not test it, and hard to win doing that but indeed more fun! The Gimle tries to trick ships like that, having a versatile armour makes it best at nothing but is able to throw some curveballs, like the gimles mortars absolutely are weak, but darn they do damage in these battles when folks are popping in with a simple sheet of deck armour haha What I can recommend is taking a turret of the gimle or having a similar one and put it on a platform and make that an enemy and thus test just a gun against the ship to measure how the defences are doing or armour is taking it :) Yeah frags are scary, and the only thing one can do is having internal armour and lots of bulk and empty spaces. I only learned making proper battleships when I challenged @BorderWise12 with the Draconia :D And awesome interiors!
I'd have to place the turret placement flaw on the top of the list of issues. Those being so densely placed, and being placed directly in the front-middle, makes heavy pierce weapons devastating. Doom crams falling under that category too due to the absurd damage they deal, even if it technically has a lower AP value.
id also say it could use just a little bit more smoke the Gimle's laser was chewing you up ad that wasnt helped by the fact that all your weapons where close to the center ridge of the craft both rounds the peach class got pretty much cored out in the center into a big vally with how the weapons where placed that meant that as soon as one of those guns whent down the next one would be that much more vulnerable. there is sort of a chain reaction another problem the lasers and lams where just a little bit lacking in power
Certainly the winner on interior designs for a ship so far. One of the main flaws of this ship I would say is turret/gun placement. Certain areas seem to get hit a lot more than others. For front-siders like this the top-front 1/3 to the middle tends to get hit the most. Which is exactly where the Peach's guns all reside. If it had some high arc CRAMS, APS, or even VLS in the rear and a few in the front quarter I think it would have done a lot better.
@@GMODISM applique is great against he, frag and heat, think it's slightly less cost effective than stacked metal against chem but it's also a lot lighter. Has a significant weakness to hesh, but shouldn't matter since it's internal
Main reason I use applique is as a "spall catcher" for HE and frags that penetrate the ship. I noticed it was rather good at this when I was testing for cheap ways to insulate my ammo containers. It's really terrible at blocking direct hits though.
RW is Rimworld. A game that tickles my autism in the exact same way FtD does, despite being entirely different. It's a top-down colony survival game. Edit: I stand corrected, Smart Dolphin has corrected me below, Rusted Warfare.

I think u could get away with only armoring the hull sides with 2 or 3 layers of metal + HA slopes stacks and some side to side / up and down movement

Yeah, some extra flak dif guns and some cram mortars in the back would have done wonders!
Indeed awesome interiors!
Think applique spam is for cram defence, since it has high armour class but small health which is the opposite of what you want against kinetics
Oh, so then maybe not crams actually but all types of serious fragments in general then?
@@GMODISM applique is great against he, frag and heat, think it's slightly less cost effective than stacked metal against chem but it's also a lot lighter.

Hmm, so, do you feel it is worth stacking/filling with them or just coating after airgaps?

14:18 absolutely insane...
RW probably means Rim World game. The screenshots used to create said picture are from the Rim World game.
no, RW mean Rusted Warfare in the Gallery.
I want more board sword like crafts eventually there will be something powerful enough i want that
Yeah that would be awesome, however, some of the ships that was less strong but still won might actually take on the broadsword easliy I think

Edit: I stand corrected, Smart Dolphin has corrected me below, Rusted Warfare.
RW = Rusted warfare spesifically for the gallery showcase
@@smartdolphin02 Oh! I stand corrected!
wait you can place decos of a specific block/material by just ctrl+shift+x ???? life changing
haha yeah, that is quite handy!
