I had no idea how deep this topic got until I was literally up to my eyeballs in it!! Lol I've always seen the love and interests, but it was secondary to the gameplay. The games have definitely hinted at many potential unions.
When I was younger, I was pretty obsessed with the Ruto and Link relationship. My obsession has been softened up since then, although the only timeline where their marriage is still possible is the Child Timeline since in the Adult Timeline, Link was sent back to relive his childhood and thus cannot marry Ruto because he no longer exists in that timeline while in the Downfall Timeline, their marriage can't happen because Link lost the final battle. I'm not sure if Link would think to see Ruto again after the events of Majora's Mask, but given what we know his eventual fate was, where he becomes the Hero's Shade in Twilight Princess, I guess that is up to fan interpretation. Perhaps Nintendo has chosen to neither confirm nor deny the marriage between Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess.
@SonicJrandSarah Majoras Mask was traumatizing! I'm not sure if he would have considered seeing her again after all of that. She wasn't super pleasant in the child timeline and in the adult timeline he seems shocked/taken aback both times Ruto expresses her feelings or mentions their marriage. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!! Would love to hear your opinion on Malon!!
It’s a bit scary actually… because if it’s not Twilight Link that is their defendant, it might be Queen Rutela, she looks awfully a lot like a hybrid between hylian and zora
Most game features a different Link who doesn't seem to be interested in a relationship.... The Mako tree thing..un Link immediately hooked up with Zelda at the enf after what I heard, but he's alro the same Limk who sailed away from hyrule in Link's awakening
Agitha?!... she is too young for him.. Zelda is a classic BUT they hardly had a conversation plus Zelda and Midna had More moments together. ofcourse with Midna they had moments and would totally be a thing though... she had to go forever :'/ Ilia is the most possible option here, they were very close since the beggining and it was pretty clear they had a thing going on, might had been the one Link stayed with in that game.
I am going to guess in the case of Nabooru, she would have made Link the prince of the Gerudo once Ganondorf was defeated, and then maybe when he was older, they got married or something. I guess it depends on the age gap between Link and Nabooru. She is older than him, and she was already an adult when she met him. But how much older is she? I suppose it is possible since there are some huge age-gap marriages in real life ranging between a 7-year gap, a 10-year gap, and even a 15-year gap.
@SonicJrandSarah oh she does mention the gerudo male/king only happening w the once in a century birth! I hadn't connected that!!! It also depends on how long they live....10 years is nothing if you live for 200 years. Makes sense!!
Its heart breaking to think that in the timline zelda sends link to. Link mostly likely came back to korok forest as an adult and saria is still a child with her love being impossible
Yea after link get done with The legend of Zelda Majora's mask he goes back to Hyrule and pretty much she goes back to the ranch link stay malon the have a son together and the hero of twilight is link and malon son
Well in The legend of Zelda Twilight princess if you have all seven hidden skills the gold wolf teaches you at the end of the part he will call the hero of twilight he son
It always seems like most of the major female NPCs in every Zelda game are into Link. I think OOT link rides off into the sunset and doesn't end up with Zelda or Ruto or Malon or any of the other NPCs in the game. BotW link winds up with Zelda though
I think I'm a bit of a purist in that my hope was always that Zelda and Link ended up together, which puts botw as one of my fave games in the franchise. OOT Link had many options, but seemed clueless to romance. Perhaps because of his upbringing on the Kokiri Forest? All children ya know?
@@EtheriapoeGaming The maidens in LttP were originally supposed to be the descendants of the OoT sages, which with Saria makes some weird implications. It is very weird, but these games are from Japan. It was probably retconned fortunately.
I love so much how everything hints that Link and Malon stayed together in OOT

Love the thumbnail! Must have taken quite some time to put this all together!!
@Andrew1782 hahaha many many hours! I really enjoy making the thumbnails tho....probably my favorite part of the process! Thank you for noticing!!

Descendant*
Hero of twilight and Ilia! Queen Rutela does look like both. So I guess that goes back to Malon vs. Ruto ❤️

@SuperMetalyrics there are sooo many Links!
Not enough links though
Separate links it's alltp,la then a new link in the oracle games.
@heroofmasks tp is a new link too, bc it's the hero of twilight. I feel like all of the links could be a 2 -3 part series ...so many
@@heroofmasks It is the same Link in the games, but not the manga.
I wonder who the Hero Of Twilight Link ended up with. It could be Ilia, Zelda, Agitha, or Midna.
Midna was gorgeous! That's another great question!
Yeah.

Agitha is basically Amy Rose. 🌹
Dont forget best fish wife mipha
Ahh Mipha is one of my personal favorites! See was in my last video ...one of the best love stories in all of Zelda 💗

I know!! 🥹 I think Saria already knows that too...that is why she looks so sad when he leaves.
In the legend of Zelda of time link end up malon the how you have twilight link
Yes!!
