I noticed the instrument on channel 0 (same one used for the ring sound) has an attack/decay pattern that looks like a bouncing ring. The way they had to program music on the Genesis, there's no way that was an accident!

Turns out PSG 3, the noise channel, was likely operating in its full range mode which allows it to get such a nice hi hat sound. However, it has the side effect of disabling PSG 2 in order to use that full range. Most of the music in the original sonic games opt for this arrangement rather than using all four PSG channels.

Hey, is there a way that you are able to edit and export the songs using this software?
I NEED to have a version of this song that has that awful ringing at about the 30 second mark in the original song, on channel 4 1:11, 1:16, 1:19, 1:23 here to be silenced. No idea why its there, but I want it gone and there are no editions anywhere that fix that.
Id do it myself, but I don't have the software, the sound source file to do it :(

I know a few people who recreate the song completely screw up the chords and sounds nothing like this. Ihope this helps them
