I wish I had a grandmother like shanti. She's so dedicated, loving and very proud of her heritage. Shruthi will be ever so grateful to her grandmother for her achievements in her life. Patriarchy is not only about men controlling women, but also women deciding for other women what they should do, study, focus on, behave, dress (the grandmother criticised her dress) etc. It's about imposing your values on another person.
