i have been to 166 other pavilions, big and small. never been to japan pavilion and based on this video, it's not worth the wait cause i've seen more impressive pavilions..germany who has no smart queue but you have to queue for 2-3 hours is deserving to have that line and although the line is long you can 100% go inside if you'll just patiently wait..but japan is being a headache and instead of enjoying the exposition you'll be stress. but i do recommend the japanese resto, one of the best in the pavilion with authentic japanese food and rotating dishes..that's awesome..just be there before 9am to get an early token cause by 12noon for sure the tokens are all out. With regards to the pavilions i would recommend, here they are: Morroco, Monaco, Russia, KSA, Alif, Terra, DP World, USA, Kazakhstan, India, Hungary, Spain, Kuwait, Thailand and Egypt

We went 4 times to Japan pavilion and could not go on. The waiting time was so long. it was 2.5 hours. So decided to visit other places. I recommend Emirates airlines pavilion but need a pre-booking. Instead of queuing for major countries, we visited so many small countries to show our support to them as well. The smart queue did not work for those major countries. And after the rain last few days lot of pavilions were closed due to water leakage and maintenance.

Exceptional lesson of patience if you are willing to stay in line for 2-3 hours, good lesson of polite rejection when you hear a flat NO with a soft and calm voice, perfect lesson of feeling old when you can do nothing without a cell phone to load an apps, sign up at time slots that do not exist, struggle with their required reservation on line which do not really exist. We connected 4 days in a row, at 9:00 sharp to no avail. The answer from the staff “Sorry but this happens, we can do nothing”
How to do the registration?
You need to load their apps then wait til 9am to register. However at 9:00 sharp, all time slots are ready full. In a word, do not bother to waste your time at this pavillon. Visit Korea, Egypt, Saudi Arabia,… they are nice too

Someone said in a forum that going to Japan might be easier than entering the Japanese pavilion at expo. And I do agree with her. One time I was willing to fall in line, but my companion was in the washroom, I asked if I could you know be on the queue while waiting for him to save time. They declined and the queue can get long easily in just a minute or two. Missed the chance. Now they are only accepting those who made an appointment/booking/smart queue via app which is also making a hassle. Some says booking will start at 9AM in the morning. If you want to book the appointment a night before your trip to expo I’m afraid that’s not possible. At least in Germany if you are willing to wait you’ll get in 100%. Been visiting expo since October, visited 85 pavilions but still couldn’t get in to Japan.

Exactly we been to expo 3 times now but no luck with Japan. We also tried that 9 am myth but every time it was unavailable. So we went to some small countries which aren’tthat popular but really liked them too. Japan is really playing hard to get.
I completely agree with you. They don’t care about the visitors and flatly refused entrance to seniors under 65 years old. Sign up at 9am is another ridiculous smart but polite way to reject visitors because all time slots were blocked at 9am!!!
Dear.. Open ur expo app at 8.58.. Take smart queue option (please note use to activate multiple passes option if needed for multiple tickets at a single try) select the current day date.. Wait until 9.. Once its 9, try opening the pavilion option again and again until 09.10 and keep doing until japan is open for booking.. It works and i visited japan today on my first try itself❤️enjoy

Come at 10am and the lines will be minimal. But yea, a 3+ hr wait would totally destroy the experience.

Spoke to the staff in Japanese and they became so excited! God bless them I loved talking to them they were hella polite! Definitely worth the wait one of the staff even gave my little brother an Origami dragon. Loved it

each one has a different experience; all three rooms are connected to the other. I m guessing you were not able to listen to the narration. I have visited more than 100 pavilions and Japanese is the best you can have It is so deep in meaning and and technology interaction to the top. no other pavillion beats it hands down. Its worth the wait. TIP: visit alone, no distractions; prepare for yourself for everything. coming from a tech and guest experience background I am aware what I am saying. A pavilion worth a visit. JAPAN amazed me. IT WORTH ANY WAIT.
But all the smart queues are booked! And when I sit for the 9 am booking it fills up within seconds ☹️😔

No Pavilion is worth a wait, when they do not have smart queue options and still they fool the peopl saying only smart queue allowed. Better to avoid all these Pavillions, if you care a little for your self respect and want to be treated in a humanly way. Better their staffs visit their own multiple times and enjoy it, good for them. Same goes for campus Germany Pavillion also.
Germany was worth the wait, It was really fun and interactive!!

sorry but this video doesnt have right information. You can smart queue the Japan pavilion. It clearly states on the app that you can't do it. Now you'll have people assume you can because you said it in the video.
expo has progressed fast over the past few months. The tour is still relevant but they now use an app. I’m not taking the video down as many will want to see the pavilion
My experience with the Japan pavilion was horrendous! I’ve never faced such a rude behavior from a Japanese person. I approached them to ask how to book because in the app the name of the pavilion is greyed out. I was told to “read there”, she pointed at the board. The board said simply to book through the app… I explained again I don’t manage and asked if they could show me, she answered “ I don’t have time”. There was nobody there, because another lady was announcing “booking only” over a megaphone. Honestly, shocking behavior. Shame because I loved visiting their country. Even when I tried at 9am afterwards the name of the pavilion was still greyed out and couldn’t be selected. Waste of energy.
I’ll be honest, I went again recently and I agree. They were rude.
I confirm. Those young ladies really misrepresent their country which used to be known as a country with polite population.

Japan pavilion people are just playing with us very rude , no solution all staff including manger they are bull shut just asking to book in smart queue which sometimes appear for 1 to 2 seconds or doesn't appear at all. This is worst pavilion in whole expo.

@@cheeseboi8769 it clearly says on the app it can't be smart queued. you have to line up for it - go in the morning before 10am to ensure you dont have to wait so long
@@nurulalam484 you can smart queue it at 9am sharp in the morning. It gets full by 9.02am 😂😂. And even if you get a time slot and select to save it , it says you can't smart queue it. I got three time slots and all the three times it said not available while saving my slot.
Idk what is the big deal with this pavilion. Why install a pavilion which they can't let the people visit like other pavilions?
@@nurulalam484 Whenever we went , they never allowed normal queue,they mentioned only bookings allowed.
Making reservation why is that 🤔. Going to a dentist or a movie theater. Yaps miss the whole point of queues

I heard UAE, Chinese and Russian pavilions are rated at the top. UK one of the bottom so far I heard.

Not China, from my Opinion. Saudi is really amazing! Pakistan is also quite interesting.
Didn’t like China that much, but UAE, Russia, Germany, Hungary and Saudi Arabia were at the top for me
UK is the absolute worst. China also wasn't that good in my opinion.
