Why is unintentional ASMR so much better than its intentional counterpart?

Same reason real sex is better than prostitution.

Well, when we all first discovered ASMR, we had no idea what it was. We just knew it as some phenomenon that relaxed us and it gave us a tingling sensation in the back of our heads. So I'd say the very core of ASMR comes from unintentional occurrences. If we seek it ourselves (searching for videos that are intended to give tingles) it kinda raises the standards for triggers since we're in a mindset where we're expecting it to happen. Whereas when we experience something in person (some barber cutting our hair, watching children having an intense focus on a scribbly drawing, observing your loved one apply makeup, etc.) We don't expect the triggers at all, and it sneaks up on us like a big wave of soothing relaxation! Ok peace.

Because it's authentic and not replicated.

LittleTree I believe there is a site called archive.com in it you can search for youtube videos up to a certain date. for example if you set it at 2013 september you won’t get any videos posted after that date

If you really want to trip: Walt Disney married Lillian Bounds in Lewiston, Idaho in 1925. Pull up a picture of Lewiston & you'll see that it sits at the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater rivers. Look familiar? Lewiston is represented, along with the Snake river, at the start of every Disney picture.

He certainly likes Disneyland. A LOT! ("Gosh all hemlock! It's the shrubs next to the Matterhorn restroom with the grey and white mosaic tile imported from New Brunswick!") Wonder if he lives in Anaheim?

I have a b&w photo by the original property owner of the spot he and his kids used to stop and eat brownies and drink lemmonade. A trash can and a men's room - which I think is apropos - occupy the space now, outside of It's A Small World.

    "Unintentional ASMR" is inherently intentional.
Think about it. It's intentionally committed to video, KNOWING what it's trying to do.
ASMR happens when the person triggering it has no idea what it even is.
Kinda like the way you can't tickle yourself.
