Especially in the women’s tour they came waaaay too close. It looked to almost crash into Shirin.

@@christophedebruyne1236 it's 100% a drone. You can hear the blades and in other shots, you can see it meandering in and out of trees. Also, where's the line/cable? It comes down from quite a height, you'd be able to see the cable ahead of and below it.

the grand tours are great but the classics have such an appeal and allure unique unto themselves - i was present for one of boonen's victories back in the day - eating farm frites - drinking beer and standing at the road side cheering the riders on as the climbed one of the bergs - the roadside belgium fans are great - so enthusiastic and supportive of their riders - its truly an obsession with them and when one of their own wins its only that much better - you know it is spring when the classic arrive - always sad to see them end but always thrilled to see them come again - you can almost discuss your life by the names of the riders who won during it - the boonen era - the cancellara era - the sagan era - on and on it goes - no we have mvdp - he is so great in these conditions due to his cyclocross efforts - beggars why more pro teams do not force their riders to do the same during the off season his results speak volumes and the field would tighten up if more did the same - chapeau but he really won on the kemmelberg and the rest was academic - that was a cyclocross win if ever i saw one

Normally there would be the MVDP - Wout van Aert battle but Wout was injured unfortunately. 2 cyclo crossers, but i wouldn't say that the rest of the peloton should attempt this too. MDVP and Wout van Aert happen to be the best in the world on the cyclocross too but basically this is where they came from. It is really special.
MVDP gotta have one hell of a contract with Canyon. The amount of times he steers the focus on his bike in recent weeks is crazy 😂 money talks!
I'm sure they're both benefiting very nicely indeed! And perhaps the peace of mind/ lack of worry for MVDP lets him just focus on training.
I think he signed a 10 year deal a few weeks ago.
Without sponsors there would be no "pro" cycling... so it's a win/win. I personally don't think pro-cyclists get paid enough for the amount of training and pain and suffering they do.
If only Canyon could stop their bikes from cracking

@@z.kramer6027voluntary or not, it's still a deviation... rules don't change based on how tired riders are. I was cheering for him, and was so disappointed to see him swerving all over the place, knowing he was screwing himself over.

I've been listening to Carlton Kirby for years and have heard him make countless 'plays on words' / puns. Not one has made me laugh and most do not even make sense. Please can Eurosport find a better commentator. It is surely putting people off their coverage and therefore cycling as a whole.
It is also a shame to see the highlights narrated in the past tense. It removes any sense of excitement. Why not use the present tense or the commentary from the live feed?
He has incredible skills, incredible strengths, incredible endurance, and incredible strategy. He is the greatest of all time of this generation. His father wasn’t so bad either.

The Race was over when there were 44 Km reamaining and MVDP took the lead. I am from Brazil, and we have a expression for situations like these: "Já era!"

Paris roubaix will be more interesting by far the most unpredictable race on the calendar because no climbs to separate riders and huge puncture and crash potential so even the stronger riders need a day of good luck

It’s about time Mathew’s was relegated. He always starts in the middle and finishes at the barriers, was getting sick of seeing his dirty sprinting.
Pure tiredness was the reason for his wayward sprint. Nothing dirty about it.

Love the highlights of the race, MVDP what a beast. But I gave the video a dislike because of the poor quality of the commentary. No analysis, very little information, just bizarre twisted metaphors and strange rhetoric questions.

Something is awry. I remember the good ole days when bike racing required tactics right up till the final 5km. We didn't use to have all these extra-terrestrials floating around. You should never be able to ride away from large groups of pros on the flats. This should only happen in a junior race.
