James Slivka This is always a challenge with the bereaved. Every time that someone offers condolences, the sorrow is refreshed. Levon must go on and there’s no instruction manual for that. He’s running on autopilot right now. The difference is that he has to do healing while being on center stage. Give him strength, please.

So true... And Aronian is a 2773 ELO ranked player! Now we get #1 Carlsen (2872) vs #2 Caruana (2822) again. Magnus is so amazing that today's top-ranked players from #2-7 would all make worthy World Champions in other chess era's (except maybe era's of: Kasparov, Fischer, Tal, Capablanca & Morphy). Fabi would absolutely be a world champ in a different era. Magnus is the *Mozart of Chess* but perhaps we should include *Magnus the Magnificent.*

Same, though it took me a minute to realize how powerful the move was. Didn't seem great until I realized it wasn't a lethal move, but an oppressive move. I really want to get back into Chess

Maybe black played Nc8 because he was afraid of Nf6+ followed by gxf6 Qg4+ or maybe even Qh5 directly is black doesn't take. Maybe later followed at some point by Rxf6 or Bf5.

this is that type of game in that quote where it says the best type of game you'd like to win is the game in which it is not clear where your opponent made the mistake. or something like that, told by whom I don't remember. carlsen played this like an engine.

When I watch this game and try to analyze which attribute to put onto Magnus playstyle it is maybe that with every move he makes he limits the good moves his opponent can make further and further until his opponent can only make mistakes.
