Thanks Eric! You should definitely ride in 2023, you won't regret it. I don't know the exact weight of all the luggage, it must have been about 7 kg. The tent I use is from Decathlon, a Forclaz MT900 for 1 person. I cycle with double front blades 48-31 and a cassette 11-34, that went fine.
Absolutely see the value of this event, am i seeing e bikes here? if so there is latitude to introduce jurisdiction such as , conversion e bikes ( anyone can go and buy an" off shelf" e bike) so no bought mass produced e bikes allowed !!!, also distances could could be matched to legal bicycle power out put etc , the possibilities and potential for this are enormous.
