One nitpick I have with your video, is you switching between the POV of each pokemon too frequently. Maybe spread it out a bit? Like every 2 badges or something.

To answer your question about dig, your attack was reduced by three stages. Two for feather dance, and another for fake Fox's intimidate ability. You probably could have one shot it, had your attack not have been so hindered. If you try this with optimisation, this will reduce your time.
I had numerous occasions where dig was very underwhelming despite dealing super effective damage. I think I grinded special attack EVs too much which likely had hindered it more as well while boosting the STAB moves instead
I always had such a hard time choosing before these two! No joke sometimes I run Aloloan ninetails and kanto Arcanine I love em so much. Honestly you can't go wrong with either but it is good to know there is a definitive winner. Makes me feel better about focusing on my puppy team over my fox team though.

Yeah I would agree, they should both get multiple attempts, but I think Vulpix got super lucky the first time through and I think growlithe would’ve only gotten better so the outcomes should be about the same. I’ll probably do multiple runs in the future, just takes so much more time for a video like this

I thank RetroARCH for the color detail. They have GameBoy advance specific shaders that make it look so much better in my opinion

The gen 6 fossils have to be my favorite. They're so cute as babies and so majestic fully evolved

I really do believe every pokemon in a race should get 2 chances for a good time. It is what I do in my series.
