Funny thing it’s possible to play the bass bone part on a normal straight tenor but you NEED and f attachment to play the 3rd part but it sounds so good though
Love the piece. Shows a lot of creativity and understanding of trombone writing. The only thing I’d recommend is regarding the double multiphonic at the end. I’d recommend giving further instruction on this as to whether you want this to be performed by one player or to have the parts being played by multiple people on one part.
Thank you! A fun fact about this piece that I've always kind of forgotten about is that it is supposed to be a one or the other multiphonic, not both. I just liked the playback sound so it basically ended up like that on accident. Glad you enjoyed!
Who knew you make something so simple sound pretty good. Maybe I should start trying to compose. I suck at it. I have no creativity. I'm very good at music theory, but I'm better at anazlying and arranging than creating something "original".
From my time as a trombone player if there were multiple people on a part we could just pick which note we wanted to play in a multiphonics note. If there was just one we played the note not in parentheses.
@@dannymb287 you can't do what James Morrison did with just any note or interval, only certain ones can have a 3rd note pop out if you sing really in tune
I think you may be right. I'm not sure honestly. I wrote this a long time ago. I think it is possible in terms of false tones. I'd have to break out my trombone and do some more experiments haha
Unfortunately my website is no longer available. However, if you are interested in playing the piece please email me at katrinaharpergorman@gmail.com and we can sort things out!

Q: How much B-flat do we need?
A: Yes.
Exactly!

If you're playing a quartet you probably have an F attachment, that's the standard past being a beginner
I am a bass trombonist. I will feel lightheaded if I played this piece
A very neat composition. 👌
Thank you !!
I would love to see this piece with some modulations to Eb and Bb, just for a bit of scale variety!
A charming piece of work Jacob. Almost fanfarish to a degree. Particularly fond of the little gallop you featured in the middle.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed!

bass trombone should be the one to cut off the last note before they pass out 😂
Definitely lmao
I think it should be the first one
The composer's orchestration skills are too good, proficient in brass instruments and trombone, the best brass composer today。
Awesome job man
Thanks!
So cool.
Good articulation and melody. Good work!
Thank you!
I don't know why this reminds me a lot of german polka
The bass trombonist is gonna pass out 😂
Wonderful melody
I must say I’m a fan of the galop. Overall, one very strange piece, I must say.
I appreciate it!
Simply amazing, I love this piece and I want to play this piece. Hope composer permission. Thanks! Hope reply.!
For a trombone quartet, I am a trombone player and have always been confused. How is double multiphonics possible??

@@davidhood2200 swee thanks man, that clears things up a bit about your composition. Thank you
Well i mean james Morrison did it, it's on RUclips
@@dannymb287 you can't do what James Morrison did with just any note or interval, only certain ones can have a 3rd note pop out if you sing really in tune
From my understanding, the middle note is created by overtones when the interval between the played and hummed note are in tune.
simple is the best !
Yo I’m no expert on tenor, I play bass trombone, but I don’t think trom3 can reach that D below the staff

It is possible, you just need a trigger. It ends up being around trigger 5th.
It is most definitely possible
I can play one octave lower on tenor trombone
a trigger horn
i cant get to your website, i really want to play this
