    Fir bud syrup has multiple health benefits, including expectorant properties, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, respiratory system support, and revitalizing properties. It is a delicious and aromatic natural remedy that can help relieve respiratory ailments, strengthen the immune system and reduce inflammation in the body.
    The amounts of water and sugar needed are determined by the amount of buds.
    Thus, after gathering a generous amount of buds, they are washed several times with cold water, after which they are put in a pot and covered with water.
    That pot is put to boil for about 30 minutes or until the buds soften and release the aroma.
    They are left to cool overnight in the pot in which they boiled. The next day, strain the resulting liquid through cheesecloth to remove solids.
    Measure the obtained liquid and boil it again with the necessary sugar and lemon juice. For each liter of water, 1 kg of sugar and the juice of a lemon are required.
    Mix well until the sugar dissolves completely.
    Leave the syrup to boil until it begins to form a thread (you can check with a spoon and a cup: take a spoonful of syrup from the pot and very gently pour it into the cup to see if the syrup has bound).
    The syrup is poured hot into glass bottles or sterilized jars. They close very well and turn the other way around for a few seconds to create a vacuum.
    If the syrup has been well boiled and the bottles sterilized, stored in a cold and dark space, it can be consumed even after 2 years.
