Hi Paul. Great video.. I’m considering the Astrox 88d game or Astrox 7. For an intermediate club player Would the 88d game be a slightly better racquet? I want something to enable more power for clears, but maintaining control for drops and net. Thanks
Hey Paul, can you please also make a video of the astrox 100 zz, tour and game. Telling difference between them and how much difference between the cheaper and the expensive one. Thanks!
I am an intermediate level player planning to upgrade. I was using Yonex muscle power U, G4 till now. I am confused between Arcsaber 11 Play vs AstroX 88D Game. My playing style is mix, I do play lot of drops and angle shots that being said I also hit smashes and want to improve that too. Could you please share your 2 cents on which one should I buy ? Difference between 2 is 88D Game is ~30$ more expensive. Thanks
@TheBadmintonCoach Thank You. I have heard that arc saber 11 play gives you more control as it's balanced and 88D game won't as it's head heavy ? I am just concerned with this, as would it be too huge of a difference ?
additionally I was planning to re-string with BG 65 Ti with 25 lbs tension, any suggestions for it ? Or Should I use the original one on 88D Game what Yonex provides ?
Hi Paul, I really wish you can advise me the real difference of play between Astrox 88D Tour compared to Astrox 77? My Astrox 77 was broken, and I wonder if 88D Tour is suitable for replacement.
I haven’t tested Astrox 77 and from memory that racket didn’t have the Astrox technology, only for players. I would expect the rackets to be relatively close
I'm an asian but still prefers G4. hopefully there are still G4 available. my racquets are G5 but i put cushion wrap to make it thicker but it decreases BP
The one you consider is best for you. There are so many examples of professional players using the rackets, it really boils down to personal preference
@@TheBadmintonCoach Good Day Sir. First of all thank you for your effort in doing all the videos about badminton and also the badminton racket reviews. However I hope that you are able to review the Yonex Nanoflare 700 and might compare with Bravesword series as well ? Thank You
@@leetuanlingedison4592 that may be possible. I am travelling to Denmark tomorrow to coach at Denmark Masters tournament so won’t be able to start on this for some time. But why compare to an old racket?
@@TheBadmintonCoach Thank You Sir Paul Stewart. I have seen alot of professional players using Nanoflare 700 and in asia alot of players consider it as a Bravesword alternative.
Hey, I am a new veiwer to this channel and i had a question that i have recently purchased the Astrox 88D Game racket and i want to know that which is better Yonex Voltric 0.5 dg or The Yonex Strox 88D Game ?
hey paul, i was wondering what you think would be the best modern successor/replacment to the voltric 80? I have used my voltric 80 peter gade edition SP forever now and im seeing if there is a new racket i can get that is almost the same. I demo'd the astrox 88d last week and did not enjoy it much at all. It did not provide the same punch in my smashes as my v80 and felt much more hollow (albeit lighter in weight). Would my only real successor be picking up a z force 2?
Hello paul firstly want to thank you for being very clear in all your videos ! I wanted to ask which will be a better option between astrox 69, Astrox 39,and astrox 88d game ? Iam not a professional player but iam good at hitting smash and drops . I dont love the net play though as much as i love to attack from behind as i get much time to react ! Please help
I really liked the original D although it felt a bit slow. The new frame is quicker. The difficulty here is that I try. To base my score on what’s available now and the expectations that new technology brings. I rarely look back at old reviews for context.
I had a victor thruster f which i absolutely loved until it broke. I find that victor rackets are generally very fast and the thruster f packed a lot of power. Now looking to replace it, I'm unsure whether to go for the thruster again or the d pro. I know you are a fan of both, how would you say they compare? Many thanks.
I used that racket and loved it. I hear the new version in black and gold is very nice. The switch to Astrox 100 was easy for me as the specifications are similar
Good review, love to see you always
Thank you 🤗
Thank you for the review Sir...
The different percentage between the tour and pro Sir?
How does the Voltric 88D Pro compare against the Voltric Force Lin Dan, which i know is one of the racquets you have highly recommended in the past.
It’s altogether different. LDF is more flexible, but not as fast as 88D Pro. Pro feels like an old friend, immediately comfortable
Hi paul, planning to buy 88d game
Can you plz tell me how is the smash power?
Hi Paul. Great video.. I’m considering the Astrox 88d game or Astrox 7. For an intermediate club player Would the 88d game be a slightly better racquet? I want something to enable more power for clears, but maintaining control for drops and net. Thanks
I think the game is a better option than the Astrox 7
Can please review and compare the Astrox 100 Tour and Game models with the 100zz that would be great
I will be reviewing these rackets but won’t receive them for two weeks
Hey Paul, can you please also make a video of the astrox 100 zz, tour and game. Telling difference between them and how much difference between the cheaper and the expensive one. Thanks!
Is the 88 D Game head lighter than the 88 S Pro?
I would say it is

Personally I would opt for the 88d game. If you are upgrading your racket the Play version of a racket is too basic

@ then perhaps consider Astrox 77 Game
@@yashparekh2954 Musclepower is a very old racket in U.K. older frames and high tensions may lead to disaster but it’s hard to say.
Tell about astrox 100zz/tour/game...
I am due to receive those rackets in 2-3 weeks
I have a Voltric 70 which is looking a bit tired now. What is the equivalent in the latest Yonex range please?
Ah the lovely Voltric 70. 88D Tour is probably closest
Is the OG 88D still worth buying in 2023 (second hand, half the price of the Pro version)?
If it’s in good condition and you prefer it to the pro

It’s personal choice. I expect both sizes will be offered
What's the difference between the GAME and PLAY version of this racket series?
Game has higher grade materials, yellow grip and I suspect less flex
Which one better for men's double, when we at the front court? 100zz or 88D pro?
The one you consider is best for you. There are so many examples of professional players using the rackets, it really boils down to personal preference
are you using the 4U or 3U version of 88D Pro?
I have the 4U version
Sir, have you tried 77 Tour? How would you compare it to 77 Pro?
I haven’t tested the Tour version. It’s the same specification minus the enhanced technology.
We cant really miss Sir Paul Stewart videos when we are unable to play badminton due to covid cases.

What is the exact weight of Astrox 88D Game after stringing and the basic grip?
no idea as each racket weight falls within a tolerance. Why does it matter?

Yes it is but not by much

Hi! I play once a week. Would you take astrox 77 or 88d game for beginner/intermediate player?
The Game series is a decent racket. I believe it’s a good choice
Is astrox 88d game 4u heavy enough or a bit light for normal players?
It’s heavy enough
