I completely agree with you. No matter what, there is no excuse for hitting someone yet Shu Yi is hitting Shi De at almost every chance he gets. He’s also messing with him emotionally too, it’s not just the physical side. I’m putting my faith in the writers, i’m sure it’ll all end well somehow.
What if this baby is shao de's half brother from his mom new marriage and the reason why he couldn't came back for two years is either his mother passed away during labor (she looked young but has a 21 years old son) and the reason he didn't say it by phone is beacsuse shu yi's mom also died and he knew how sensible the subject is for him. When shao de finally can return shu yi's dad get in action and complicate things even more, making him stay not necessarily in usa but away from shu yi.

Im gonna give my opinion about what seems that shu yi is gonna do on the second season, so be careful because it might contain SPOILERS of the special episode. Yeah, he should have asked him, but put yourself in his shoes. The person that has been in love with you and made you realize your homosexuality has to leave, you let them go and when after quite a long time you go for a visit you find them like that, at the same time you receive a message about something that has to be said.... As I said, yeah shu yi should have asked before making an assumption, but shi de had lied to him about more than one thing. So yeah, both of them should have acted differently
