That's nuts! I made that exact dress in JUNIOR HIGH HOME EC class. I didn't even buy fabric. I used old jeans and bandannas . It was a bit longer because this was in the 1970s when the hippie thing was big. I think I made a top to go under it with bandannas too.
anyway, the openings are too narrow and tilted, and they're too deep and snug to be useful, unless you're trying to conceal short swords.. if those long pockets didn't make the dress look inexplicably backwards, it would be relatively decent, yet still overpriced. The breastpocket might be useful, for those who don't use their boobs as a purse 😂
I was definitely thinking The Gap. Watching your channel makes me feel sensible with my 50+ year accumulation of books/media, art supplies, and model horses.
Yup, Old Navy, which is also the Gap just more reasonably priced, for me. Although now that I’m older and wiser, I don’t shop places like that anymore. It’s mostly thrifting for me, with the occasional exception for stretchy pants in my size on Amazon. A petite 3x is hard to find in bottoms elsewhere.
I can only assume it is expensive because it is a 90s retread, and actually has pockets. Though you can't use them without showing everyone what you used the pocket for. And why are the straps uneven?????
I was WRONG!! 😂 I said $35 @ The Gap, I Do Not buy expensive things, because 1 I don't have the money and 2 I just don't like it or want it, I'd rather buy something useful 😂
I have one almost exactly the same. $5.00. Yes, that's FIVE DOLLARS. Consignment shops & thrift stores. That's all the "shopping for clothes" I do. Tired of the waste EVERYWHERE. 😕
For that much $$$, you would think someone would have taken a quick second to even out the buckles on the shoulder straps!?!?! It is legit making me anxious! 🤣
Huh. And in my day we made these ourselves out of old overalls. We also made Jean Skirts too. We thought we were cool as hell. I guess we were right. 😂😂
fun fact, when I was 20 I starred in an adult film that won an AVN award wearing (in the intro, anyway) a very similar dress. It did not cost that much, I think it picked up mine for about $20, iirc.
Just because what's old, this jeans cover-all dress as been out numerous times over the last 50 years, is new again at an astronomical price! Especially since one can make this themselves out of 1-2 pairs of old jeans!
I said to myself, "It's either Old Navy for $25.00 or its designer for $2,500.00..." ...either way, your local church-ran thrift store has it for $5.00.
@refashionedhippie you should make shorts out of your comments section videos. it would drive traffic to the main longer videos and would be super funny
I guessed $700. I was either $25 or about $50 off depending on whether or not you include the sale. It really does look like it’s from GAP though. I’m sure you could go there and get one almost exactly like it if not 100% exactly like it for around $30 max.
I have this dress. Not from this site. I took my maternity overalls and made them into a cute dress. I paid $2 for the overalls at a thrift store 21 years ago, I found them 3 years ago and made this. Edit:I totally thought this was going to be etsy until you said GAP, then I knew the answer😂😂😂
I guessed $10 at the Gap because when I was five I had one just like it that was purchased for $10 at the Gap. Not only does it not look expensive, it looks like something a fashion blind five year old would wear.
I was rocking denim jumpers like this in 5th grade with my spice girls-esque chunky platform shoes with butterfly clips in my hair. It better be no more than $40
silly me, before you ever said anything and i was guess $35 from the gap. you can be sure that somewhere visible on that garment, its going to say celine, because those fancy brands advertise their merchandise ON the merchandise.
The Fashion Game makes me realize that I make better spending choices than I thought
I'd guess 12.50 from Walmart.
40 from a chain store
😂 I have one I got at Walmart, that actually looks better than this one. I don't remember exactly what I paid for it but I know it wasn't much
Walmart was my first thought!🤣🤣🤣
This is on a clearance rack right now at my local Walmart
@@bubbz2978 I think it's cute, I'd buy it at Walmart, but we don't have it here. Did you buy it in clearance?
This was popular when i was in 5th grade and listening to TLC
Ooh, retro, that should be worth a few extra k's.
I had a dress like this when I was about 8-10 years old. It was definitely not this expensive then
$652....and it's USED! (on a resale site)
So... someone originally paid MORE than $652.
2nd hand embarrassed for them 😳🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This made me upset.
That's nuts! I made that exact dress in JUNIOR HIGH HOME EC class. I didn't even buy fabric. I used old jeans and bandannas . It was a bit longer because this was in the 1970s when the hippie thing was big. I think I made a top to go under it with bandannas too.
You got me by throwing out The Gap so casually! This is my favorite game that I truly suck at.
Those pockets better be real
My thought exactly. 😂
anyway, the openings are too narrow and tilted, and they're too deep and snug to be useful, unless you're trying to conceal short swords..
if those long pockets didn't make the dress look inexplicably backwards, it would be relatively decent, yet still overpriced. The breastpocket might be useful, for those who don't use their boobs as a purse 😂
@@SixteenTonesStudio would be good for an artist with a lot of supplies, although a standard appron would be more appropriate
It really does look like Old Navy or Gap clothes but then I remembered that those websites usually spring for models to actually wear the clothes.
I didn't think it looked well made enough to be The Gap, honestly.
One dollllaaaarrrr...in a bargain bin at Value Villagggge😂
Ok. Enough internet for me today. This truly has me going convinced I’ve fallen into an alternate and totally effed up timeline.
I swear i wore this exact same thing when i was 7, back in the 90s. My mother got it at mervins if i rem correctly. Lol
I used to love Mervyns. I forgot all about them.
We used to make this from our overalls back in the 80s! Please be cheap, please be cheap...
Yes, early 80s. Shows my age 🤣
I thought this was $30 from the Children’s Place
I was definitely thinking The Gap. Watching your channel makes me feel sensible with my 50+ year accumulation of books/media, art supplies, and model horses.
We could be twins, I have a 30+ year accumulation of the same things 😅👌
Oh look it’s the outfit I wore in middle school. I was a dork back then, I guess I was a head of my time.
Seeing the picture, my first instinctual response was "Nooooooooo! Not my childhood!"
If they go to tractor supply or a a farm equipment store....they can get overalls all day long for a reasonable price.
actual price guess is $400 but only worth $7 in monopoly money
I had a jumper like that when I was in the sixth grade….in 1965!
I wore this same outfit circa 1987. Pretty sure it was from the Gap back then.
I couldn't afford to get mine from the Gap, lol! Mine came from places like Kmart!

And why are the straps uneven?????
Blue jean jumper that you could make easily with recycled blue jeans for $0.00.
It better not be more than 100$ at MOST! 😂
I just made my 11 year old daughter that same jumper. Being able to sew saved me a lot of money, apparently.
I legit wore something like this as a child. You could get the same thing at Oshkosh for definitely NOT over 600.00
The Cracker Barrel clearance rack! 100% OFF!! Today Only!!😂
I was WRONG!! 😂 I said $35 @ The Gap, I Do Not buy expensive things, because 1 I don't have the money and 2 I just don't like it or want it, I'd rather buy something useful 😂
If its at a goodwill near me and $12 or less and in my size, its sold, that's what it is.
That looks like something from Old Navy... maybe the finishing would point to high end but no way to tell without getting a closer look at it
Neither, this is from a thrift store in the backwoods of Kentucky. It costs 6 chicken eggs and a pot of roadkill soup 😂
All Kentucky roadkill must be made into wigs for Hair Shitzenpants. No soup for you.
I have one almost exactly the same. $5.00. Yes, that's FIVE DOLLARS. Consignment shops & thrift stores. That's all the "shopping for clothes" I do. Tired of the waste EVERYWHERE. 😕
It looks like something I would have worn to school in kindergarten in 1975. My mom would have brought it at Kmart.
It should be the Gap regularly priced at $30 on clearance for $10.
I’d thought maybe 60 originally but seriously! It looks so cheap though 😂
Its a trick question. This has to be $12ish
I saw the same jumper at Unique Thrift store for $12.99. If I remember correctly, it was a yellow tag, so that day it was 50% off. 😁👍😅🤣😂
I saw a video of clothing review on G
Gwyneth Paltrow overpriced brand. The dresses looked like they were made out of a very thick itchy canvas
Lmao I got that at K Mart about 30 years ago for 10 bucks
My guess was $2667 because I figured that if was priced even remotely reasonable then it would never be made a video.
That’s hysterical! I’m in the wrong job😂
For that much $$$, you would think someone would have taken a quick second to even out the buckles on the shoulder straps!?!?! It is legit making me anxious! 🤣
LOL! ! I’d say, “good luck selling that,” but I’m sure there is someone out there with too much cash and not enough good sense.
I thought it would gonna be 1200. These look like ones I had in the eighth grade.
It's how the rich know if you're in the know. Only other rich people or people with "taste" can identify expensive clothes.
That looks like the dress I wore in 1996 for my 16th birthday. 😂
I got a dress like that at Walmart years ago for 20 bucks
Designer because the straps don't look like they attach in the front because that would be too practical
I have no idea but my brain just went 🎵 Come on Eileen🎶
Inexplicable, indeed!
My guess:
Gap, and maybe 80 dollars? I dunno. 😂
Damn. This is so average looking! At least some of the stupid expensive stuff looks outrageous!
Not Guess...😂
I thought this was from the GAP for $40 😅😅😅
$50-$60.
And it really is... 🙀 Those prices = double delusional.
Holy shit! It's sooo... crooked!😂
I could get the same thing for £15 off of my local market 😂
The gap, $40.
$40 the Gap
Wow!😮😂
"Square neckline mini dress"
Okay buddy
Looks thrift store! I love it!
I love stupidrichpeople
That dress looks like something I would have worn when I was five.
I thought it was old navy so when you said Gap I knew something wasn’t adding up
I still have an identical dress bought in 1998 for $15-$20 at Marshall’s.
The Gap is HOA approved clothing
If it's more than ten bucks it's too much. My toddler wore it better anyway.
Personally, I thought it looked too cheap to even be from The Gap. 😮 🤷🏼♀️
It was used to cost 20 bucks at Kmart!
Just because what's old, this jeans cover-all dress as been out numerous times over the last 50 years, is new again at an astronomical price! Especially since one can make this themselves out of 1-2 pairs of old jeans!
Looks like OshKosh B’gosh lol
If any of you pay more than 25$ for an overall dress, youre doing this wrong! 😂😭
I bought something like this at forever 21 for like $10...
Subbed for the voice
my daughter loved the $10 version of this when she was 2!
Looks like it’s from an Old Navy clearance rack
My friend donated her dress to a garage sale, and it was sold for Rp10000. That's nearly US$1.
The dress looks like that, with more pockets.
$12 new....$4 from goodwill
I said to myself, "It's either Old Navy for $25.00 or its designer for $2,500.00..." ...either way, your local church-ran thrift store has it for $5.00.
I dunno man $35 at the Gap!
Edit: NOTHING EVER MAKES SENSE
My grandmother something similar in bright pink corduroy (it was 1980, and I was 5). I hope Goodwill made a fortune with it.
@refashionedhippie you should make shorts out of your comments section videos. it would drive traffic to the main longer videos and would be super funny
Good idea thank you!
The kid will grow out of it in like 5 minutes 😭
I usually get it right, but not today. Functional, wearable, what’s up with that? 🤔
Gap $12.99 on sale
my first thought was $500 , so I wasn't that far off...
My daughter had this…1983…Oshkosh…hers was purple corduroy…
I think Once Upon a Child sells an Oshkosh version of this outfit for $10.
90’s kids remember
Osh gosh bagosh sells them pretty expensive for toddlers
I guessed $700. I was either $25 or about $50 off depending on whether or not you include the sale. It really does look like it’s from GAP though. I’m sure you could go there and get one almost exactly like it if not 100% exactly like it for around $30 max.

Edit:I totally thought this was going to be etsy until you said GAP, then I knew the answer😂😂😂
I think that Celine bought this from the Gap and raised the price.
I pray its like $34 from The GAP
I guessed $10 at the Gap because when I was five I had one just like it that was purchased for $10 at the Gap. Not only does it not look expensive, it looks like something a fashion blind five year old would wear.
For once I did not wait for the reveal. $ 50 new, $ 10 from a thrift store.
$652 ?!! "Cripes, lumme", as we say here in England.
$45 at the Gap
I was rocking denim jumpers like this in 5th grade with my spice girls-esque chunky platform shoes with butterfly clips in my hair. It better be no more than $40
silly me, before you ever said anything and i was guess $35 from the gap. you can be sure that somewhere visible on that garment, its going to say celine, because those fancy brands advertise their merchandise ON the merchandise.
